The Republicans must be stopped (especially Marco Rubio)
This is such an important elections and the Republicans are particularly awful this year. In fact, even the most so-called moderate contenders are to the right of John McCain and Mitt Romney on every important issue. As Democrats, we must ensure that the White House remains out of Republican hands. This year, especially, when they are putting up such extreme candidates. The RW-ers have a tendency to repeat the lie that America is a center-right nation. It is critical that we prove them wrong.
A few important tidbits about the new darling of the Republican establishment, Marco Rubio (whom I am most worried about at this point).
1. He wants to significant increase military defense spending and cut social programs.
2. He does not believe human activity has any impact on climate change.
3. He wants to repeal the ACA and go back to the old system.
4. He is actively opposed to net neutrality.
5. He is against same-sex marriage and thinks gay couples can be legally refused service by wedding photographers and the like.
6. He wants to cut the corporate tax rate to 25 percent.
7. He wants to scrap the Iran deal.
8. He supports a permanent US military presence in Iraq.
And this is the supposed reasonable one? Putting aside all the silly stuff (he has a canned speech, he has financial problems, he misses a ton of votes), these policy positions are disastrous for everyone other than the super rich and the military industrial complex.
I urge all DUers to gear up for the big fight that will begin once we have settled on our nominee. We cannot under any circumstance allow this man (Marco Rubio) to become president.
Hell, this makes me want to support Rubio!

1. All correct. And Cruz is even worse.
And Trump? Sweet Jesus on a pony. We cannot let any of these nincompoops get in.

4. Trump and Cruz are worse, but I don't fear them as much as I fear Rubio
Rubio is able to sound like a reasonable candidate in a way that Trump and Cruz can't

6. And then there's his vision of the new American theocracy...
In Iowa he promised evangelical voters that he will defy the Constitution in favor of Christianity. "And when I'm president, I can tell you this, my faith will not just influence the way I'll govern as president, it will influence the way I live my life. Because in the end, my goal is not simply to live on this Earth for 80 years but to live an eternity with my creator. I will always allow my faith to influence everything I do."
We've already had a dose of presidential religious fervor run amok when GWB revealed that he believed God told him to invade Iraq. We can't survive another Republican trying to force the extremist views of the American Taliban on this country.

7. It would be great to have a non-religious person as our president
Or at least one who is a bit more secular.

If only this were true then I would have no problem voting for Rubio unfortunately it is not.

You would think given his Gang of 8 membership and his support of the TPP the DUmmies would at least be cheering or him to beat Cruz.

(especially Marco Rubio)
Why do democrats hate hispanics so much?

Here are your choices, DUmmy:
1. An alter kakker who is a non-observant, Reformed, or Liberal Jew; making him Jew-ish. Pretty damned secular.
2. One of Macbeth's three Witches, in a pantsuit. Has a statue of Baphomet she uses for incantations and such. Bathes in the blood of virgins. Religious, if black magic counts as religion.
Choose carefully.

In the focus group I attended, the "Gang of 8" stuff really put off the non Rubio voters.

My thoughts exactly! That DU post was like a Rubio campaign ad!

Rubio has long been the candidate I support the most. I met him when he made a brief stop/ speech during his first campaign for Senate. I don't agree with everything he's gone along with (i.e. his stance on immigration), but I agree with enough of his positions that I'm not ashamed in the least to say I support him. Knowing that the DUmmies are terrified of him gives me all the more reason to do so.
"5. He is against same-sex marriage and thinks gay couples can be legally refused service by wedding photographers and the like."
He's right about the latter (And, of course, many Americans agree with him on the former, as well). At the moment, it IS perfectly legal in most areas for businesses to refuse service to gays if they choose to do so. To the best of my knowledge, the only bases on which businesses AREN'T legally allowed to refuse service to clients are by race, skin color, religion, or nationality.
2. One of Macbeth's three Witches, in a pantsuit.
LOL, H5!
She's like a real- life Disney villain, complete with the requisite evil cackling laugh!

Uh-oh...if this gets their notice they may actually claim him (not saying it's true, and my choice of another candidate is not based on this):

If Cruella DeVille and the sea witch from The Little Mermaid had a daughter...

You would think the DUmmies would supoport a man who would allow for the very Amnesty that would give democrats the majority they need to rule for a 100 years.

The coming theocracy. How many times have we seen this?
Certainly the bolded part is simply a profession of faith...and yet it strikes fear in the heart of a DUmmie.
This fear and loathing of Christianity and Judaism is a source of constant amazement for me. They fear any competition, and the only profession of loyalty they accept is loyalty to the state. Its why they hated the Bundy occupation and screamed for death.
DUmmies worship the state...specifically their state. DUmmies will willingly tolerate any corruption, or malfeasance in office, as long as it advances their agenda. They will demand total loyalty to the state god they erect and people of faith are in competition to utter obedience DUmmies crave.
Sheer hatred on the level of DU can only lead to violence. DUmmies will cheer it on.

Yes (D)Ummies. Please please put all your efforts into defeating rubio. Please.
And ignore Ted Cruz while you're at it.
Pretty please?
