A DUer is asking for help again
Bob is a registered sex offender.
Bob Applied for Social Security Disability Ins in April 2014. He still has not received a determination after all this time. He has no income and his rent is due.
It has been over 6 months since he last asked the DU for financial help. Bob has been getting some help from his church.
The only way to donate is through PayPal: rlewis58@frontier.com . A DUer changed their mind and after donating last time and took it back. That put Bob's gofundme in arrears. He can't pay it, so he can't use it.
He joined the DU in May 2006.

3. It doesn't take a hell of a lot to become a registered sex offender
in some jurisdictions, indecent exposure qualifies. So as far as I know, Bob got busted for peeing in an alley outside a bar after closing time.
And many of us with long memories are violently allergic to PayPal, after the Andy Stephenson fiasco. (Ironically, this message comes to you from directly across the street from PayPal!)

KamaAina works in San Jose?! PayPal's corporate HQ is on First Street in San Jose, near US 101. :-) Based on a fair number of visits, :-) I could recommend the Chik fil A on First Street to her for lunch or dinner. :-)
I had to use a little Google-Fu to learn WTH KA was talking about. Obviously she doesn't know much about pancreatic cancer. A very high percentage - maybe a large majority - of those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer are already past help. Chances are Andy Stephenson - about whom I know almost nothing - was already past all but the most desperate help and hope when he was diagnosed. IOW, any delay in treatment - if any, for whatever cause - was irrelevant to the outcome.
Unaccountably, PayPal, CC, and frank are all doing well, in despite of all the malignant darkness DU-folk have sent their way.

Illinois laws says a person who commits a sex offense on or after January 1, 2010 and is convicted of this offense on or after January 1, 2010 must refrain from accessing or using a social networking website while on probation, parole or mandatory supervised release.
Would DU count as a social networking site? I'm sure the pedophile site would be illegal for him to be on.

The flip side is there was a lot hate and name calling that didn't bother a lot of people.
