About 50% Muslims support Sharia, both in 'Muslim' countries and the West

I have made that claim and different people asked me for the sources.
(50% is obviously a rough gage, nearer to 2/3rds in Muslim countries, nearer to 1/3rd in the West)
So, here is the best info I gathered on the subject in this one thread. I welcome any better data.

Support for Sharia is well over 50% in Asia (Indian subcontinent and Malaysia/Indonesia), the Middle East ('Arab' countries, Iran not polled) and Africa (Maghreb and Sub-Saharan Africa)
It is below 50% in the mostly ex-Communist region roughly between Turkey and Russia (incl. Kemal's Turkey)

Fundamentalist Christians who support Sharia? Zero. niyad should wordcraft her "devastating" "moral equivalency" questions more carefully.
The "devastating" "moral equivalency" question niyad probably intended: How many Fundamentalists in this country would support enacting the Law of Moses in this country? A very tiny percentage; and if everyone niyad thinks is a "fundie" were included in her hypothetical poll, the percentage would be far smaller.
Were it not for their ignorance, DU's Christophobes would be horribly embarrassed at their own ignorance.

Thats easy, just search google for the staggering number of christian Americans who are throwing gays and lesbians off of buildings. Also pay attention to the huge number of christians beheading others for not being christian. :sarcasm:
