I filed for retirement. I have a horrible job at a call center. Hope I can make it to 2/1.
I can't tell you the name of the place I work but it's a company that contracts out call center work to a mail order specialty pharmacy. There is no communication about issues, these people need HIV, growth hormones and transplant drugs. Constant red tape and incompetent management curse this job and this place.
I dealt with a woman who was crying out of frustation and fear because they were holding up her anti-rejection drugs for a heart transplant. And we are all so burnt out when we take these calls, we don't even care anymore because of the unreasonable call center metrics this company imposes on us.
I have a degree and this was the best I could get. I will retire and pay off student loans for the rest of my life.

There is a woman who got me fired from a very good job in July due to timesheet fraud.
She kept excel spreadsheet on when we all came and went. I forgot to deduct hours one time due to a flat tire I had that morning ( I truly forgot) and she turned me in. She also did it to a pregnant woman who didn't even work for the same company.
She got escorted out and fired today because she tried to sit in a man's lap. Karma is such a bitch. I want to taunt her on FB. We are not friend but she has no privacy set up.
Bad idea? I really despise this woman and I am not alone in this.

17. Intercept a package en route to her house and write "Merry Christmas" on it.

To quote someone around here...
All DUmmies lie...

That does sound like BS. Terminated for a single offense/infraction? I don't see it.

Fired last year but retiring this year? Still paying off student loans?

The Obamas made a big deal about paying off their student loans shortly after the election. I believe it was announced after Barry sold his Rezko-financed flophouse on the lower east side.

That was either a pack of lies, or the Obama's were dead beats on their loans.

It sounds like a person that went back to school to get a worthless degree and now is in default so is hitting SS at 62.

If any of it is true, that's the only thing that makes any sense to me.

Yes.
Next question?

I think you called it Carl, or maybe th4. Obviously a degree with very little career potential. The question is whether DU-member bamad has been deadbeating for several decades or bamad made a stupid choice later in life.
As to retiring this year after being fired last year, maybe the job from which bamad got fired was a part-time gig. I suspect the I-forgot timesheet story, ummmmmm, leaves out some important facts. Such as, who, outside of bamad's supervisor or some one in HR or payroll would have access to timesheet numbers and clock-in/out data? IOW, maintaining that spreadsheet and reporting inconsistencies was her job. And bamad got fired without an inquiry, unless bamad was already know to be dead weight, that isn't credible (except by some fellow DU-folk, of course).

How would he know what happened to her if she previously got him fired?
A useless bouncy.

The DUmmie mentioned her Facebook page being public, so I think they have been stalking her.

Close. I would bet the house that he is in his 30's and his "retirement" is going to be SSDI.

5. Well, I don't think they can deny but I am in default for student loans.
But they still have to give me part, right? And I have part time jobs lined up.
It's not express scripts.

36. I am sorry for your experience. I just turned 62 and and eligible for SS.
And I am taking it. In spite of a B.S. degree and good work experience, employers won't hire women my age anymore. I am taking the money and running.

What a pathetic sack of worthless shit. You don't "take the money and run" with SS. You simply take the money.

Maybe I think too much of myself, and maybe I'm an asshole, but honestly: how does one get to claim to be:
1. 62
2. Among the smartest people in the US
3. Hard-working to a fault,
yet they have no money saved and they work for an hourly wage and will depend exclusively on Social Security?
Again, maybe I'm a smug asshole, but aren't there SCORES of DUmbasses in this position?

Horse hockey pucks! If a company needs talent you've got, you'll be hired. Sounds more like bamad is trying to persuade DU-folk of her excuse for becoming a turnip (as in, "You can't get blood out of a ...") in defense of stupid life choices.

Not mutually exclusive.
(sorry, but it was SOOOO there!!!!)
