Title: Crazy Bob wants them all to know that religion is bad, or something

Remember RW Fundynut Religion Is NOT Religion. THEY ARE ALL BIBLE AND PRAYER SELLING BUSINESSES.
Right wing religion is a BUSINESS selling bibles and belief. It is not any sort of religion. Virtually all these pastors are just there for a free ride. And a good many are millionaires and even some are billionaires with lavish lifestyles, private jets, mansions, broadcasting empires, real estate et al. They pay virtually no taxes and get more than their share of the commons in infrastructure use.

So to call these churches religions is a sick joke. ANY nut with a bible can start a church and ask for money. All you need is enough followers to tithe to you and you are on your way.

Bob is nothing if not topical. When the market takes away his stupidly-invested money, the system is corrupt. (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10027538174)

Now, it's Sunday morning, and lo and behold he's got something totally new to say about religion. By "totally new," of course, I mean "trite and old."

DU doesn't like Christians, and especially hates evangelists. Wait, let me gather myself from the floor, Bob.

Dude, do you want to know how long DU has been howling about religion? (Hint: since before you had more feet)

I'm guessing, from Bob's regular screeds about Christians, that Sunday reminds him of being molested by a priest. That, or he spends his Sunday mornings eyeing the left Hush Puppies slip-on now gathering dust in his closet, and how it used to feel to slip that baby on and go to church to leer at the womenfolk.

Heh.

I bet Bob would hop through fire to defend muzzies though.

Hoppy better get right with Jesus, or he won't join his foot in Paradise.

Some one needs to tell h34 how Joel Osteen spells his family name.

I wonder how many pastors TMN actually knows and has spent more than 5 minutes with without screaming at them. The senior pastor of my church - it would probably be considered a smallish mega-church - sold his middle class home in SJ, and bought one together with his son, 20-30 minutes away from the church facility, so that his son's young family, and his wife and him could share that house. It might be a million-dollar house, but in Silicon Valley, that's far from a mansion. The senior pastor from our family's previous church (a near mega-church) was or still is doing much the same.

TMN is trying to sell a hate-colored fantasy world, and it would seem even some DU denizens know better and are weary of TMN's bitterness-fueled shtick.

BTW, unless Osteen's home has more than tripled in value since 2010, the dude who posted a purported pic of it vastly overstated its value. Based on very little knowledge of Osteen, I do think it quite excessive, but wild claims detract from serious consideration. That TMN and that other dude stereotype all pastors demonstrates that they are more driven by bitterness, anger, and hatred than in anything related to reality or Christian living.

Al Gore has made a lot more money off of religion than Osteen could ever imagine. Don't hear the DUmmies howling about that.

Heh.

Hypertensive Bob's proving a source of unending fascination, about why he's so Hate-filled.

<<<doubt however his high finish in the Top Ten DUmmies of 2015'll improve his disposition.

Much of the time, I speculate it's simply because he has a vigorous "need" to Hate, to Hate anything or anybody, just so long as it can be Hated.  Sort of like the defrocked warped primitive "Warpy," Ms. Hindenberg, who Hates simply because she needs to Hate.

Right at the moment however, I'm guessing he's just got a bad stool inside of him.

That's because GLOWbull warming is the left's new state religion. To them, as long as the "right people" are in charge, they can do no wrong. The DUches fail to see the irony that the IRS and the EPA are their version of the Spanish inquisition, and only God can help anyone who is an apostate.

Love how he tries to make himself look like slightly less of a bigot by claiming he only really has issues with "RW Fundynut religion." Then again, I'd imagine according to his definitions, all Christians who earnestly believe in Jesus and the Bible are automatically "RW Fundynuts."
Hey TMN,
I'm a youth director at a church, and I live in a small apartment. The senior pastor I answer to lives in a small but tasteful parsonage. Only a select few pastors make enough money to have "Private jets."

Bob's backstory, which he loves to tell, is that he went to Catholic schools for his entire education. Because he is a twisted, bitter old fool who can't even keep both of his feet attached, he feels entitled to conflate all religions into a single mass that somehow sticks in his craw. Absent from any of his screeds is any reference to Islam, of course, since in addition to the character traits I listed above, Bob Banzin is a coward.

As a Banzin aficionado (maybe I'm just an enthusiast, though), I suspect that there is more at play. I suspect that although Bob is an old man, he is actually a child. His wife probably insists that he go to church each Sunday, and rather than confront her, he confronts everyone else. The hour he spends at Mass each Sunday offends his sense of leisure to the degree that anything non-secular becomes "fundy," and anyone who avails himself of religion is a "GOPPER" or a "fundy," or both.

Which makes Bob's alter ego a cousin to Walter Mitty. Walter DUmmy. Someone who doesn't daydream of greatness, but someone who daydreams of misery and rancor and threats and anything else that would boil any man's blood and cause a limb to seek refuge away from its host.

There are three spots left for DOTY. I think my DUmmy Xmas wishes may be coming true.

I've found that pretty much true of a lot of Christophobics. They criticize and denounce, but are abysmally ignorant of those they denounce. TMN simply has a great deal more underlying rancor.

That kind of rancor rots a man, a little at a time. Ol' Bob has one foot in hell, and hates that Stairway to Heaven- because it's not an elevator.

Which foot, the one that fell off or the one still attached?  :-)

The foot that rotted off.

Earlier, I wrote that Bob would have to change his ways if he wanted to join his foot in Paradise. I was holding the map upside down.

I do not know what makes me feel sorry for the foot more, that it went to hell because of Bob or that it will have to spend eternity in hell with Bob when he finally gets there.

Bob only has one foot in the grave, still time for redemption on the rest.
