A prediction. I think tRump will crater in Iowa
It's not only the large evangelical vote and his reported lack of ground game, I suspect many of his fans there won't caucus.
Here's the prediction: tRump will come in third.
Feel free to mock me mercilessly if I'm proven wrong.
We mock you on a daily basis. Nothing to see here.

My personal guess is Cruz wins Iowa handily. Trump 2nd, Rubio, Carson or Christie 3rd. Unless something strange happens in the next 2 1/2 weeks.
Call it an educated guess, since I reside in the Hawkeye state.
-
From what I've seen of the Iowa polling, Trump isn't doing that bad among evangelicals. Neither is Cruz.
-
I'm guessing/hoping Ralph has it about right. I'd take Cruz or Carson over Trump, but I don't think Trump will place lower than second. I'm hoping Christie places in it's-time-to-pack-up-and-go-home place ... and he has sense enough to do it.

I hope Jeb does, too.

This primary has already boiled down to Trump vs. Cruz. Carson and Rubio are finished.
Iowa is too close to call, but after that it looks like rather smooth sailing for my guy. At least he is not out on the trail begging everyone and anyone for donations; that is extremely refreshing since everyone else WILL answer in the final analysis to the big donors.

One thing that I admire about the DUmmys, they never have any problem demonstrating to the world that they are truly stupid.

And apparently, they're pretty proud of it.

BTW, I hope some one at DU has greater creativity than "tRump".

Trump had to go full birther to pull back even with Cruz in Iowa.
I think Cruz will take Iowa.

Regardless of how well or bad Trump does in Iowa, after all the votes are counted, Cali will still be DUmb.
That's my prediction.

You can't fix stupid.

My prediction is that the libs are going to find life most unpleasant (just the way they like it) under Darth Bentrumped.

I think Cruz will take Iowa, but it might be close.

Best Trump quote so far comes from his speech at Liberty University.
He told the young Bible scholars that his favorite verse comes from "Two Corinthians".
That's probably when Palin decided to come on board.

I'm not a Trump supporter, but I'm trying to figure out why a big deal has been made of that. I've been among Evangelicals my whole life, and while "Two Corinthians" (instead of "Second Corinthians") isn't used ubiquitously, it's fairly common shorthand - both in writing, "2 Corinthians #:##" and in spoken word. Had, a year ago, I heard an unfamiliar pastor or teacher used the phrase "Two Corinthians" in referring to a passage in that book I would not have thought it the least bit odd.
Like I said, I'm not a Trump supporter (let alone a Trumpling), but gnat-straining like this is little more than free publicity for Trump.

I watched most of the speech at Liberty. What I saw was a guy basically talk off the cuff- no ****ing teleprompters, for a goodly amount of time and do pretty gawddamned well.
I guess I am just not that impressed by Cruz so far. Every time I hear him speak it simply sounds like one more politician mouthing words. I am leaning towards Trump because I do think he'll get shit done and the DC politicians need to be shaken to the core- left, right and center.
If I start hearing more from Cruz in the coming months, which I know I will from both T & C, we'll see where I land coming voting day. For me they are the only two candidates I would consider voting for.

While an Irishman was walking out.

You know, I'm wondering about something the Bernie bullies should be thinking of.
Given Methuselah's ancient age, does one suppose the Sanders campaign staff includes a traveling undertaker, just in case?

The media and some of the opposition have to make a mountain out of a mole-hill.

It's not that big a deal to me but while it's written 2 Corinthians anyone familiar with the Bible knows it's Paul's 2nd letter to the Corinthians, therefore, 2nd Corinthians.

Wow. I agree with a dummie, but I would bet he thinks I would be sad when I couldn't be more thrilled.
Cruz by 10-15% in Iowa, and a strong second in New Hampshire to follow.
Bonus: Governer Branstead will find himself primaried next time around, if he doesn't take the good sense to refrain from seeking reelection. The conservative Iowans have long since come around on the ethanol issue; only the RINO-progressives keep on bleating.

The rumors are that Branstad won't even run again. Or resign mid term so he can pass the office to his Lieutenant Governor. He's already been in office for 5/6 non-consecutive terms.
