GOP Does Not Care About Gun Violence Deaths. Yet They Win Election. Why?
The GOP mocks the deaths of people via gun violence. The mock the victims of Sandi Hook, their parents and their families. And they mock an criticize Obama who shows he care. They mocked and downplayed the attack on Gabby Giffords BECAUSE SHE IS A DEMOCRAT. And they further mock her efforts that support gun control legislation.
Yet they will probably win a lot of elections in 2016. They crave and worship violence. They are blowing the officials of the NRA. Why? What the **** is wrong with this country?

9. Statewide races cannot be gerrymandered.
The GOP controls the Senate and demonstrably more governorships and other statewide offices than our Party. Blaming gerrymandering and voting fraud (which our Party actually claims doesn't really happen to any significant degree as an essential part of our opposition to voter ID) for our electoral losses is just lazy and often fails to recognize that voters (including registered Democrats) may truly disagree, often quite strongly, with some of our policies. If we do little more than look for convenient scapegoats for electoral defeats, rather than acknowledging and then fixing the problems and perceptions of some of our policies and candidates, we will continue to needlessly lose elections.
Further, you need only looks at any number of recent polls and historical trends concerning gun rights to understand why candidates and sitting representatives oppose many gun control policies. Gun control has always been an electoral loser for our party, as Clinton, Gore and now Obama can readily attest.
Whether you like it or not, many tens of millions of Americans genuinely oppose gun control, including both Republicans and Democrats, these gun rights supporters are often clustered in important and competitive states and districts, and they always vote.
Your days are numbered branford.

The demonrat party does not care about the rape and assault victims of democrat party leaders. They also mock the victims of democrat party rapists and abusers.

Their understanding of Rs isn't pretzellated by fear and hatred. Progs' very vocal disdain for voters probably doesn't help, either. So, TMN,

Temper temper, DUmmy. Save it for when you find out that the American voter disagrees with your conclusions, and your solutions. Once you figure that out, then throw a super duper temper tantrum, go on and on about how you're so much smarter than the American voter, then have some New Jersey puke stew and die a slow painful death (eat shit and die).

I have a confession to make.
Today I bought a gun. It was not my first and hopefully will not be my last. Not only did I buy a gun today, I actually bought a handgun.
I had been thinking about this purchase for a while. I wanted an 8 shot revolver for steel and one that I could use for USPSA competition if I decide to go there. The handgun I bought is a Smith & Wesson Performance Center 929. This revolver shoots 9mm and uses moon clips. It has a 6.5" barrel. I'm expecting to put another $400.00 into it to get it competition ready. I paid almost $1200.00 for the basic gun.
OK why am I writing all this? First I bought it in a store in King of Prussia PA which is right close to one of the twin DUmmies onehandle and Hoyt. Yes I traveled to DUfus onehandle's backyard to buy me a gunz.
Second, the FFL told me that (no surprise) business has been good lately, and that in PA over 65% of FFL transfers in 2015 were for first time buyers.
While any kind of movement towards gun control has the possibility of danger but there is no doubt that gun control will have a negative impact on Dumbocrats in the next election and that Obama is the best gun salesman in the history of the world.
This even the DUmmies, in all their DUmbness have to live with. And dummy onehandle will have to spring for a new dick measuring device because the one he has is going to be worn out soon.

It's the very least I can do for the team coach.
For Christmas, I dragged (kicking and screaming) my son (age 24) and daughter (age 22) to the local gunz store and made them buy themselves a handgun each, thus adding to the number of new gun owners in the system. I try to be a good parent.

As a loyal and good Caver, I will provide, since I'm a certified instructor and stuff, handgun instruction to your kids for a minimal fee (keep in mind I"m a capitalist). If you choose not to do that, teach them:
1) ALL guns are ALWAYS loaded, treat them that way
2) Keep the bugger picker off the bang switch until on target and ready to shoot
3) Keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction, ALWAYS
4) ALL guns are ALWAYS loaded, treat them that way
5) Be aware of the target and what is beyond
6) NEVER, EVER point the firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy
That will be $150 for that advice. Cash.
:)

If I'm going to get an 8-shot revolver, it's going to be a S&W M&P R8. .357 Magnum N-frame. It'll set me back about $1100, but it'd be worth it.
I'm going to my LGS today with my wife to look at a handgun for her. Yeah, I've got my preconceived notions (S&W 642 LS or Glock 42), but if she likes something else, that's what we go with.

The other handgun that I considered is the N frame PC 627. I went with the 929 for the extra barrel length and while I'm concerned about the issues some are having with this handgun, the shorter 9mm cartridge makes for a faster reload. This is going to be a competition gun only.
I already have a 686, the standard 6 shot with a 4" barrel. I bought it new and then changed the sights and had trigger work so I have well over a grand in the thing. Shoots great now but out of the box it had a 14# trigger.
My daughter picked out a J frame 442 snubbie for Christmas. This after much thought and discussion. Since Mrs thomas15 has a 637 (with crimson trace laser grip) I had my daughter shoot it a few times. Initially she really wanted a KelTec 32 auto poodle shooter. I don't think that is a good choice for a primary carry gun. In the end the thing that sold her on the 442 was simplicity and compactness. I had to really work at some light handloads to get the bark out of this gun (110g Hornady XTP HP with 3.0g Hodgdon Clays). Even I will admit that a standard load (158g plated RN with 4g AA#2) is quite a manly load for the airweight J frame.
My son got the M&P Shield in 9mm. Nice gun. Let us know Blue State Saint what you get and how you make out.

Thumbs up for the Smith & Wessons!
I agree on the poodle shooter .32. I'm not a fan of Kel-Tecs anyway- call me a snob - but my real beef with the KTs is their molded plastic trigger. One sharp ridge running down the middle does not a "serrated target trigger" make!

When I nadined it, one of the top results was an aluminum trigger upgrade. That's one ugly stock trigger.

I had a student with a new KT 9mm. The pistol was 100% reliable for the 100 rounds (practice + qualification), but he ended up with an abraded trigger finger by the end of the day.
That aluminum trigger looks like a good upgrade. I have also read about using a Dremel tool to smooth off that seam, but I don't think I'd do that.

I have a PT-32, that is whee my daughter got the idea. On mine, it's not just the trigger that has the ridge from the mold, it's also evident on the frame itself. The gun also feels a bit flimzy but shoots fairly well. I bought it for a BUG.

My daily carry (S&W MP9c) also has a polymer trigger with a seam, but it has never caused me any issues. I have put several thousand rounds through it as well. Whatever S&W does to smooth theirs, KT needs to do as well. :-)

This company is US owned and manufactured in Florida. All they make is cowboy guns. The price is pretty cheap for something like this- I payed $280.00 for mine new in box.
They make them in .22, .357, .45 LC and (if you ever wanted to really hunt a buffalo with a handgun) in .45-70.
Really nice shooter and just a shitload of fun.
Its got open fixed sights and is single action.
The company also makes holsters and gunbelts for all their weapons.

So I understand, you are getting her a 38 snub and yourself a G42?
If I might say one thing about my better half's 637 with the the crimson trace. I don't know how the factory LS works but I don't think much of the crimson trace. The sight itself works fine, is well made, adjustable and so forth. But the laser dot jumps all over because you are looking at the dot and not through the sight. So this might go away with a lot of practice. Also finding the little switch to turn it on in a high pressure situation may be a problem. So I'm personally not a fan but I haven't spent much time training with one.
I have a G26 and I handload for it. It takes a fairly strong load to ensure that the gun functions properly. Accurate it is but it shivers your timbers as the old salts would say, no where near as easy to shoot as my G17 with a bunny fart load.

The "LS" stands for LadySmith. It's got a smaller grip.
-
I have wandered about the Lady Smith. It seems like the grips on the regular j-frame are small as it is.
