I swear we are going nuts in this country. The new Texas law is absolutely totally insane. I have no sympathy for any of those bastards who shoot themselves. And I don't care if these extremists survive or not. They are a danger to themselves and everyone else. I am really sorry for the innocent victims that will result from this madness.

I am just incensed that we are going the wrong way. And just recently the Denver Museum Of Natural History will ALLOW conceal and carry guns in the museum. WE WILL NOT NOW RENEW OUR MEMBERSHIP AND WILL LIKELY NOT GO THERE UNTIL THEY CHANGE POLICY!!!! And I will bet some of the people carrying their guns will be creationists dissing evolution.

1. Since you mention Denver, are you in Colorado?

Open carry is legal in Colorado without a license except in the Denver city limits right? Texas at least requires a concealed carry license in order to legally open carry.

I have open carried in beautiful Colorado many times, including one fine afternoon in hippie haven Manitou Springs; and had a very nice discussion about 1911s with a sheriff's deputy in Salida.

Hey, Bob. Here in Kansas, just a hop, a skip, and a jump from your house, we enjoy Constitutional Carry, open and concealed.

Well, that's a random non sequitur! Does TMN really believe that Creationists familiar with how Cain was punished for murdering Abel (Genesis 4) and the Flood having been the punishment for the Earth being filled with violence (Genesis 6) are somehow more inclined to violence?

Were it not so pathetically sad, the gross ignorance TMN puts on display every time he lashes out at those he hysterically hates would be hilarious.

My impression of him is that over decades and disability TMN has reduced himself to a bundle of impotent rage and hatred. It's what motivates him, and it's what's going to kill him. So, joking aside, I think you are correct that he is and ultimately will be his own nemesis.

I doubt many DU-folk like him ... angry hate-driven people tend to be self-isolating.

You've got state law, and then you've got federal law. One trumps the other. You just pick which one it is you want to do the trumping as it is convenient.

Then you've got law law, settled law, law open for interpretation, laws meant to be broken, and laws that you just flat ignore. These are also all open to interpretation of the DUmpmonkey electorate, whenever they deem it to be so.

But you'll be safe in Austin and any local H.E.B. in the entire state. The founder of the chain has come out publicly and stated open carry is not allowed in any of his stores no matter what the law allows.
