It was a dark and stormy night . . .
Sunday evening the love of my life and wife of almost 47 years was returning home from a dinner theater play and yes it was dark and stormy although there was no rain at the time and the freeway was dry. She was driving the speed limit and blending with traffic. Then she was rear ended by another vehicle. At 60 mph.
The impact destroyed the big chrome steel bumper and trailer hitch on the pickup truck, driving the bed of the truck into the back of the cab damaging both. It also catapulted her across the freeway spinning at least one 360 degree circle during which she hit another car destroying the big chrome steel front bumper of the truck and probably the third vehicle. The truck came to rest upright in the ditch on the right hand side of the freeway facing in the direction of traffic.
The police estimate that the impact was at least 30 mph faster than the 60 my wife was driving. (This will be important in just a sec)
Two cars totaled and we're awaiting the verdict on our half ton truck (Why are you driving a truck, liberal? Where's your Prius?). No one was injured. Everyone had insurance. Everyone went home that night. Largely because of federally mandated improvements to automobiles. Also because everybody wasn't driving 90 mph due largely to the big reflective signs saying the speed limit was 60 mph (didn't you JUST say that she was hit by someone going at least 90? LIAR.) and because our state mandates liability insurance. Ummm, yeah. Everyone has insurance because your state mandates it. Uh huh. )
Some would argue that this just proves that traffic laws don't work, can't prevent accidents and are waste of time. They will also tell you that adding technology to their own personal fetish (What does your fetish have to do with this? Was your gimp suit damaged?) won't work, isn't reliable and would make the object of their desire too expensive to own. The same people will say that mandated liability insurance on the inanimate objects they so covet would be too expensive while at the same time telling you that these objects are perfectly safe because they are responsible and law abiding.
I think you know who those people are and in which group/forum to find them. (I don't think there is a http://www.lyingliberalassholes.com , so we have to be content with DU. Same difference.)
I know that when my loved ones narrowly escape death, I run straight to the internet to make political hay of it with strangers. (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10027482790)
DUmmies lie. Always, they lie. His wife was drunk or stoned, and he's just counting his lucky stars because the guy that hit her was insured.

So where is it that driving a car/truck and mandated insurance is enumerated in the Constitution? :whatever:

The surest sign it is a bouncy is that the details given prove the idiocy of the story teller.
Dark and stormy yet no storm.
A multi vehicle collision at 60-90 mph and everyone walks away.
God they are just stupid.

6. Nice parable, nice moral
"If you're gonna get into a vehicular collision, you should be driving the biggest most powerful vehicle."
It applies in many groups/forums.
good that all are ok.

No Trump sticker on the vehicle causing the wreck? Lame. OTOH, his wife was probably doing 25 in the left hand lane and not 60.
I think the whole thing was made up.

Gee honey, I'm glad you're ok, but my made up story allowed me to use your accident as a metaphor online to rail against guns.
Ain't you proud of me?

Liar Lib is staunchly anti-gun.
He claims to be a gun owner who only wants to rein-in the reckless impulses of gun "fetishists" but he's a grabber through-and-through.
"Some would argue that this just proves that traffic laws don't work, can't prevent accidents and are waste of time," is him trying to claim that gun laws work and even if they don't work we should still have gun laws.
They will also tell you that adding technology to their own personal fetish won't work, isn't reliable and would make the object of their desire too expensive to own.
^ This is him bitching about resistance to RFID trigger locks.
However, I would like to point out his wife was driving a big, bad half-ton truck. In gun grabber parlance this would be known as a "penis extender."
Yet, would he prefer his wife be involved in the same incident with only a snub-nose?

So the dummies wife, while driving a vehicle that contributes to
glowbull warming climate change, wrecked due to a storm with no moisture probably caused by.... climate change!!!!
Karma is a bitch dummie. Better head to the car dealer and buy yourself a Prius. I will buy your truck. Give you $200 for it.
