7. Although the outcome was obvious before it was held, it'll be OK down the road
I told Jim and Howard I thought the idea to have DFA make a primary endorsement was not a good one, in case the candidate they endorsed turned out not to be the nominee (whichever one it was). But it's their organization, and they both supported the poll.
I think it is unwise of Hillary supporters to belittle the result, even if it was obvious before it was held who would win. DFA attracts activists, and ANY candidate who wants the presidency needs to have the support of that kind of person. I saw a few nasty posts by Bernie supporters about how Howard must have been stung by the result (Bernie is so NOT full of Schadenfreude, I don't get that some of his supporters are), as if he was the one running again. Sorry to disappoint, there. Howard was stung in January, 2004. He will never be "stung" by anything like this. He even took it in stride when that little pissant Rahm made sure he would never get a position in the Obama Administration, even though he deserved one 1000 times more than Rahm did. If THAT didn't rattle Howard, this won't even cause a ripple on the surface of his coffee cup.

9. Wait... YOU "told Jim and Howard"?
You know them personally? Am I missing something?

19. Yes, I know them personally
And we all have each other on speed dial. Yes, for real. Do you have anything so awful against them that I should tell them I want nothing to do with them ever again, or what? Did one of them rape their cleaning lady, and I don't know about it? What's the problem?
Howard has been a friend since before his presidential run, and he introduced me to Jim at the 2008 convention in Denver, and we stay in close touch, too.

23. Why?
Long term DU people have known this for many years. I know a lot of people on the political scene back in the States. My dad was a print journalist in DC for 50 years, on a first name basis with RFK, etc. etc. Blah, blah. You get the idea. I promise you, it doesn't change anything:

They just can`t see how insane they are.

DFW is Tom In Tibet incarnate. I'm sure I'm wrong, but being right is wrong when the crown of thorns does not fit, you must acquit.

DUmmies are always angry. They are the outrage machine filled with hate. They are injustice collectors. :mental:

Damn, I wish I could figure out what's wrong with my google skills, or rather, non-skills.
Earlier today (Thursday) on Skins's island, Marc posted scads of photographs of himself at the White House recently--nothing to do with what he posted on this thread--but google won't tell me where.
The guy's California Peggy what with all the pictures of himself he posts, and TomInTib what with all the celebrities he knows.

I found this one from last week in the lounge.

Thank you; that's the one I was looking for.
google is weird.
DFW site: democraticunderground
was the exact search term I used on google, and while I got four pages of responses for the preceding week, this wasn't one of them.
I think google needs to have a staff dedicated to quality control.
But anyway, having seen that, surely one's got to agree that Marc's affected with California Peggyitis, the way he plasters his mug all over.

It looks like you forgot the .com at the end of the site name.

Strange how much the dfw ass-hat loves to impress the primitives.
The DUmpers don't realize he is there because of his father's accomplishments, not his own.
Goodness gracious, where else have we seen an over the wall trust fund baby?
The first time I saw a photo, he reminded me of someone. Every time, without fail.
Feel low CC'ers, I give you a direct descendant of William "Boss" Tweed.
Have a look.

Has anyone on DU called him out for his 1%er insiderier-than-thou shtick? It's crassly nauseating.
