San Diego City Council Passes Historic Climate Action Plan
“Our environment is essential to our quality of life. That’s why I am very proud that our new climate action plan will help our communities thrive and create the green jobs of tomorrow.†San Diego City Mayor Kevin Faulconer
Dec 15, 2015 (San Diego) The vote was 8 to 0, with one council member absent, That was District 7 representative Scott Sherman. This was not just historic, but was unanimous. The City of San Diego has adopted a historic climate action plan. The plan includes “five strategies for achieving the (Green House Gas) GHG reduction targets: Energy & Water Efficient Buildings, Clean & Renewable Energy, Bicycling, Walking, Transit & Land Use, Zero Waste, And Climate Resiliency.â€
The road to this moment started 5 years ago in the state of the city address, when then Interim Mayor Todd Gloria, who replaced Bob Filner after he resigned, announced his intent to pursue this path. Newly elected mayor Kevin Faulconer adopted this as one of the policies to pursue after he was sworn in. Yesterday the Council delivered.
Faulconer told the assembled press, before the vote. “This was truly a collaborative and group effort.†This is the list of the environmental and some business groups that formed part of this coalition, according to Nicole Capretz of the Climate Action Campaign:

What about a southern wind blowing up from Mexico?

I'll bet the majority of nadin's clicks come from Cavers

What happened in Ensenada, stays in Ensenada.

For newer members unfamiliar with the back-story, it's based upon this:

Ok this was embarrasing
We are working on a story involving native people in Mexico. So I needed to send an Email to proceso, one of the top political magazines. It took me literally ten minutes to compose an email in Spanish... my native tongue.
So, the obvious thing is I NEED PRACTICE... damn I really do. So converted my IPOD to a Spanish computer and started plotting a short piece of fiction that will be done in Spanish. It will take me longer than English, but damn I need the practice. That was well, very embarrassing.
Ten minutes. Damn!
And that story better NOT involve going down to Ensenada, there are way too many personal safety concerns on that one.
Curious as to why the cousin was reluctant to go down to Ensenada--barely an hour out of San Diego--I wrote (snail mail) their local chamber of commerce, seeking insight.
They sent me a whole lot of tourist brochures showing that Ensenada is, apparently, the Disneyland of the area, full of all sorts of clean fun and safe excitement for the family seeking a vacation.
<<<still can't figure out why the cousin doesn't want to go down to Ensenada.

I think that she wanted the DUmmies to believe that her reputation as a hard-hitting investigative reporter has put her on the drug cartels hit list.

The plan is to ask people to walk or bike? We already know how the "renewable" energy scam will work out. ::)

Oh, but surely not in a place as Disneylandesque as Ensenada.
My first thought was that she's just too tight, too stingy, too misery, to spend the money on gasoline to get there and back.

It's not so much as going down TO Ensenada,, it's a matter of going down ON Ensenada.
The donkey caught some strange STD . It's owner is pissed and promiced to "end" the gNads.

The donkey caught Mad Cow Disease. Frighteningly, it actually improved Nadin’s thought processes.

I am the editor of Reporting San Diego. Our mission is to do local news in both English and Spanish, with the occasional national or international news that affects San Diegans.
We will cover major emergencies, such as fires, but we mostly concentrate on the policy items that affect our daily life and nobody else does cover.
she's an editor now????

Just because the donkeys stalking you from Ensenada may read your blog doesn't mean you truly have any followers except that pw hubby of yours.
Trump has how many millions of followers?

To paraphrase the Spaniard in "The Princess Bride",
I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Ted Cruz has used this phrase recently with great effect

Yeah, I'd say the donkeys down there are in more imminent danger from certain bad folks than the Erf is in danger of globul warming. Although after all the flatulence produced at next year's Dem Convention, that may well change. :???:
