They would rather attack DUers than folks who beat up mixed race couples
Interesting overview of this morning at DU.
The thread about the black man punching his girlfriend - earlier this week . . . remember that?
Well a mixed race couple got attacked by three white men in Bellingham WA.
The woman in the mix - is punched in the face (it's awful) by one of the bigots who didn't take kindly to that.
The police were hesistant to call it a hate crime because throwing out racial epithets while punching a woman in the face ya know . . . that's not indicative of a hate crime. :eyeroll:
Instead of the usual suspects (folks for example that follow around sheshe, bravenak, maggied, etc. etc. ) responding to the post by a fairly new member of DU in GD - they decided to come after me.
They can't resist TRYING to put us in our place.
When we RESIST - they accuse us of anger.
When we turn it back on them - then start laughing -
Another one will come in with a snotty eye roll.
Instead of focusing on the subject of the OP - and understanding the contrast to the thread earlier this week - and the very racist dog whistles all over it -

11. We white folks can start our "listening" by realizing we are covered, shrouded in WHITE privilege
When we walk out our door in the morning, every minute of our life is awash in this privilege, yet we dont know it.
And while JustAnotherGen may be and likely is way way richer than you and me put together, she has experiences daily, regardless of her financial position, that you and I not only dont but cant imagine.
Good on you for noticing the problem and speaking out.

There is a segment of DU (and the rest of society) who will not rest until all white folks lay down their struggles and defer in every situation to the beleaguered Af Am's
That segment at DU is relegated to a protected corner since they, surprisingly, aren't taken very seriously in the open forums like GD.
There are a few brain-rotted "cracka's" on DU who sympathize with this philosophy. Randys1, the most self-hating and racist (he hates white people) person imaginable is a notable accomplice. (I see he has now chimed in before I could even finish this post )
Furthermore, those who regularly proclaim affluence and wealth usually have neither.

Progs have made nurturing - and perpetuating - grievance-group perpetual victims. In so doing Progs ensured four things would happen:
* The grievance-groups would spiral ever deeper into paranoia;
* The grievance-groups would come into conflict with each other;
* The grievance-groups would turn on Progs not in their group;
* The threshold of pain of Progs not belonging to any grievance-groups would be exceeded and trampled.
