Do you think it is possible to ever have a military coup in this country? I have never thought so. Until recently. Now, I am not so sure.
There is a lot of mistrust around President Obama. There are currents of conspiracy theories everywhere. There are whispers. "You know he is a Muslim, right?" And they talk about all the Muslims that the President has appointed to high positions in government. They say they are part of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, and so forth and so on...
The whispers have become louder. It is very scary and unsettling to hear this talk, from any source. Coupled with the fear from terrorists, the gun argument has taken main stage.
May you live in interesting times. The Chinese curse.
Why or why would anybody think Barry is on the enemy's side?

8. I was thinking about this if Trump were elected.
Would the military carry out his crazy agenda? Would they follow Cruz and carpet bomb the terrorists? It seems like there would be a lot of collateral damage in California subdivisions.
Let's see... 1) Build a wall to keep us safe. 2) Throw all the illegals out of the country. 3) Kills the ****ers who are trying to kill us.
yeah, I can see why the military wouldn't want any of that. ::)

The first has led to a resignation from West Point, the second was a paper by now a US General, then Colonel, at the War College.
This is at times considered already, by even people in uniform. People who poopoo this should read these two pieces for starters, and then a few history books. In this case Cicero's is relevant. There are more modern sources as well.

I think it has already happened. The military is the most well funded sector of government. Even the president, supposedly the commander in chief of the armed forces, can't close down Guantanamo! Military generals are already speaking to the news media with political opinions that push our president around, telling him what to do next. Remember that General Patreaus had his own little
fiefdom in the Middle East where he invited Neocons to help him run countries and wars. I see this as the military not being under the control of our president. The coup has already occured.

Then why are only somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 out of all the combat brigades in the U.S. Army fully mission capable right now? If we're so fully and well funded why are the suits in DC trying to screw up our retirement plan?
The DoD budget...I'll say this again...represents somewhere in the neighborhood of 4% of GDP...Welfare and all the other unfunded liabilities represent around 16% of the GDP of the U.S. and it's growing.
So tell me asshole...who is REALLY the most well funded sector of the government?

Hmmm he was only a Division Commander in Iraq and THE PRESIDENT asked him to run Afghanistan and take a lesser (by position) job than the one he had at CENTCOM to try and un-**** what was happening in Afghanistan.

I admit I was happy when I heard Dear Leader say he wasn't going to put boots on the ground. Our military deserves a CiC who is competent and not one who's weak and stupid and who'll get a bunch of personnel killed. I'll feel the same way should Billary get in office. Another minimum 5 years of military inaction is not what is needed, but given the choice of doing nothing and doing something stupid, which are the only two options we'll get from a Democrat/liberal CiC, I'll choose we do nothing. Less to have to clean up later.
