Should women have to register for the draft?

Now that women have been cleared by the DOD for combat roles, is it time to ask if women should also get that little birthday card the government sends to all 18 year old males? I mean the draft registration card that must be filled out.

Again, my question is not if there should be a draft. Rather, my question assumes that if there were to be a draft, or the current system of draft registration, should women have to register as well as men?

I'll do you one better. Everyone of those ****ing retards needs to do 2 years of National Service. Then the Government will assist in paying for 2 years of college, free. Sign up for 2 more years? 4 years of College money.

30. Absolutely not. The Equal Rights Amendment failed to pass and until it does women should not be subject to the draft.

31. But we are NOT equal till the ERA passes. I say the ERA needs to pass first. Otherwise we lose what little leverage we have.

Maybe Barry can wave his magic wand again...

11. Its not a matter of "should", they will register.

That's the whole point.

It seems to me something major is just around the corner and they need as many people as possible.

Oh, for ****'s face...  :thatsright:

16. No.

Men shouldn't have to register either.

If there is ever a need for a draft then there should be enough people to volunteer to go in to it.

:o  If enough people volunteer there would be no draft, genius.

20. I'm opposed to registration by anyone, male or female

I'm against involuntary servitude in whatever form it takes. Registration is the first step towards loss of personal sovereignty.

I'm not opposed to people volunteering to go in the military but they should be aware of the risks. With 1/3 of the women in uniform being sexually assaulted by their fellow soldiers, I'm particularly against women being drafted. The risk to their personal safety, above whatever combat risks there may be, is simply unacceptable. (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/06/military-sexual-assault-defense-department_n_1834196.html)

And yes, I have a 20-year old granddaughter. Long ago I told her I would lock her in a closet before I would see her in the military.

32. Even without the ERA? Until women are guaranteed equal rights -- just as

racial minorities are -- I don't think they should be drafted.

First equal rights. Then equal responsibilities.

36. Hell no. It's a step backwards. It might not be your question, but because there shouldn't ever be a draft, and change to the existing system should always to make fewer people 'eligible', not more.

50. Anything that slows down the charge to war.

If drafting women is what it takes to wake our apathetic populace up then I'm all for it but only after women are treated equally as embodied in the ERA.

53. No

No registration for anyone. No draft. No war. WTF? Is this the same democratic site that opposed the Iraq war?

61. Until there is no trying to tie a 14 year old female to her rapist by forcing her to have the child produced by the rape and then sharing custody for the life of that child with the man who raped her then I would say no ****ing way. Stop trying to enslave us with draconian laws about our bodies and then we will talk. Stop not paying us equally, stop all of the bs that is shoved in our "pretty little faces...come on smile for me" and we will talk.

Set us free and we will talk. Until we are sharing this country with equality I say hell no.

Actually nobody should have to register, we should get out of the business of war.

With that last comment I must say I see none of these things coming true in the remaining years of my life.

92. LOL

I can tell you've never been in the infantry.

Try capturing and controlling any urban area with your high technology there, Major. Large numbers of infantry and other ground combat arms troops will be needed in any large-scale future war, unless nuclear devastation is the ultimate goal. In full recognition that it was unjustified, the invasion of Iraq was a colossal **** up, due to insufficient ground troops. The mission there was never accomplished, despite the aircraft carrier preening of the idiot emperor. Iraq was, in fact, a small scale war and any future conflict likely could be much larger.

We have how many major military powers bombing the **** out of ISIS right now? How many millions of pounds of bombs on North Vietnam? Your analysis is lacking, Major.

I support universal service and a draft, if needed, without all the bullshit deferments and exemptions that rich folks use to avoid service.

68. No. Neither should males.

I'm not entirely certain either of my sons, now 32 and 28, ever registered. I don't recall ever seeing pieces of mail arriving that would have indicated such.

I'll have to ask them.

91. Nobody should.

The military has proven incompetent in preventing female volunteers from being raped by their fellow service members. And male volunteers for that matter. The notion that anybody should be forced into that servitude and risk is morally reprehensible.

Um.  From my recollection, aren't males upon reaching age 18 required by federal law to sign up with selective service?  And it has not been used since Vietnam.

So you're against involuntary servitude in whatever form it takes? What is your stance on taxes that are taken from those who work and are given to deadbeats?

They were, until Ford did away with it in 76, about 2 months before my 18th birthday.  When registering for Selective Services started again, they wanted 18, 19, and 20 year olds, I was 21.

I'm amoung the privileged few that never had to register.

Apparently this DUche hasn't gotten the memo that the fastest growing category of rape in the DOD is male on male.  This is what happens when SJW's poke their nose in where they have NO IDEA what they're talking about.

This is perfect for Hitlery's war on women.
Step 1, open all combat occupations to women.
Step 2, rape all women service members continuously.
Step 3, inoculate Hitlery's husband from any backlash of previous steps in Hitlery's war on women...

On Thursday, a voter in New Hampshire threw a tough question at Hillary Clinton about the feminist insistence that all rape accusers should be believed. So what about Juanita Broaddrick and Kathleen Willey and Paula Jones, who accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault or harassment?

Hillary said no -- with a self-satisfied smile.
This is the kind of followup question George Stephanopoulos could ask on Sunday’s This Week – but the big money’s on “Never mind.”

New Hampshire voters ask tougher questions than the liberal media -- like the New Hampshire voter a few weeks ago who asked Hillary about all her scandals going back to Whitewater.

Despite the video having an ABCNews.com logo, the networks skipped this, except – Fox News, on Thursday's Special Report with Bret Baier:

BAIER:
Hillary Clinton meantime took an uncomfortable but probably anticipated question today during an event in New Hampshire.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE:
You recently came out to say that all rape victims should be believed.
But would you say that about Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey and/or Paula Jones?
Should we believe them as well?

HILLARY CLINTON:
Well, I would say that everybody should be believed at first until they are disbelieved based on evidence.

As the Washington Free Beacon noted, that’s not what Mrs. Clinton wrote on Twitter: “Every survivor of sexual assault deserves to be heard, believed, and supported.”

It's a little comical for Hillary to suggest "evidence" was disbelieved in the Paula Jones case....when the Clintons paid out $850,000 to Jones -- albeit "in which he acknowledged no wrongdoing and offered no apology."
Bill Clinton was disbarred in Arkansas for lying in court, but Hillary thinks the women are all to be disbelieved.

I'm going through a background check even as we speak. The investigator came out Thursday to talk to me face to face and asked me if I registered for selective service. I said yes, 44 years ago. He asked me what my registration number was. I looked at him like he was the biggest idiot I'd ever seen. I said, slowly (but not so slowly it was insulting), "That was 44 years ago. No, I don't remember". He looked at me and asked if there was any way I could find out what my number was.

All I did was slowly shake my head no.

I didn't register with Selective Service, but only because I didn't think about it.  They finally sent me a  reminder when I was 20 years old. My dad forwarded it to me in boot camp.

They do have an online lookup system.

That being said, that investigator is an idiot.

I had to use that to find mine.

My request wasn't approved but I still got my OPM notification last week.  Joy of joys.

I 'm sure the real burning question in the DUmp regarding the draft is will there is an exception clause for menz in transition to chix or vis-versa? Imagine reporting to boot camp with wall the fun stuff, both breasts and balls!

I await the so-called Bruce ruling.
