Make your choice.
You want to live in a free, safe, open society? Well, give up some of your precious.
Cause the more guns we have the less of an open, safe, free society we will be.
Free, safe and open societies are the epitome of freedom.
Gun wielding nuts, everyone with a gun, searches, scans does not make a free and open society.
So, you want to talk about freedom, at the very minimum take this into consideration.
So, you want to have a free society by denying rights. Seems to me you'd have fit right in with the Gestapo.

But if those "20 precious babies" had been ripped, piece by piece, from their mothers womb 5 years previously, you'd be celebrating it as a womans right to choose. :banghead: :argh:

Ummm, the writers of the US Constitution and Bill of Rights weren't dummies. They knew what freedom means and what having gun ownership in society meant. And wrote the 2nd Amendment. So, bb, explain how the US has been free for over two centuries with gun ownership permitted.

Even many DU-folk, after thinking for a second or two, know this is a false premise. Felons are not allowed to own guns. But bb needs that false premise to make his point - a reflection on that point and on bb himself (i.e. he is some combination of ignorance, lack of thought, and dishonesty).

There's a gazillion other things that can be made into weapons, or used to disguise the evil doer,
Case in point, ski masks. If the only ski masks available were those decorated with smurfs and Hello Kitty, then these would be used as disguises.

There are something along the lines of 270 million guns in the US, and somewhat less than 10,000 gun deaths per year. If you assume that each death is a separate gun (which obviously isn't true), .0037% of US guns are used in gun deaths per year. Of course, DUmmies neither look at facts nor have the skills to figure the odds, but I'm not too scared that any of mine will jump up and shoot one of us. :lmao:

While moving yesterday, we conducted an experiment. My son's .22 rifle was near the door. We would stop every once in awhile to see if it jumped up and shot anyone. Since it did not, the logical thing to take away is either it's a lazy gun or was tired from the move.

I do the same with my .40. So far, I have a defective gun because it stays in the nightstand, right where I put it. It hasn't even attempted to escape on its own.

Lazy Gun Syndrome. My EDC pistol suffers from the same condition- it just sits there, in the holster. I have to do all the work!
