Sens. Rubio, Graham Vote To Continue Muslim Immigration From Countries With Jihadist Movements
I'm at a loss here folks. :banghead:
Sens. Rubio, Graham Vote To Continue Muslim Immigration From Countries With Jihadist Movements
A pivotal vote on Muslim immigration split the Republican presidential field in the Senate—with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) voting to continue to allow large-scale Muslim immigration and Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) voting to pause Muslim immigration.
The amendment, offered by Sen. Rand Paul, would have suspended visa issuance's to more than 30 Muslim countries with active Jihadist populations.
Graham and Rubio were both members of the Gang of Eight, which proposed legislation that would expand Muslim immigration, and Paul and Cruz were both opponents of the Gang of Eight bill.
Graham and Rubio’s vote against curbing Muslim migration follows the attack in San Bernardino.

Yeah, I don't get it either.
If there was ever a time to have a complete moratorium on all immigration, it's now.
Let the other muslim countries take them.

I'm not really at a loss for words, mr. close and obumazombie. Shocking, I know! :lmao: :lmao:
Used to be a time our Congress stood up for the American people FIRST, and enacted laws in order to better protect their physical and fiscal security. Cruz and Paul are carrying on, or rather attempting to carry on, a constitutional and patriotic duty for which they were elected, whereas Rubio and Graham are attempting to subvert the people's will and not so incidentally, risking American lives for a bunch of terrorists and their enablers.
So what if some of the refugees are genuinely in need of aid? The entire world is in need of aid, or at least some of the people within every country on the face of the planet. Guess what, liberal and RINO dimwits? Our representative legislature bodies and our president are by every law, moral and de facto, supposed to AID us, not attempt to bully or brainwash us into accepting the next wave of IED makers.
I already couldn't stand Rubio after the Gang of Eight crap he strove to pull over on the American people. If he becomes president :ashamed: our country is going to end up even more overrun by :mo:. My take on him is that at this point, the Establishment has told Jeb to pack up and go home so they can consolidate around the next puppet candidate, Rubio.
I have no doubt, libertybele, as you expressed in an earlier thread, that the Establishment will do everything they possibly can against any one of the three insurgent candidates; they telegraphed as much. I have even less doubt that the average American voter is not going to be swayed by their desperate antics. And when an insurgent wins the White House, and that WILL happen, Trump won't owe anyone a damn dime. Cruz or Carson may have donors, but they would also have the mandate of the people and I can't see either of them cooperating with the same machine that first tried to take them down. Unlike Obola and his diehard supporters, these are not STUPID people.
American liberals are the most selfish and spoiled people on the face of the planet, imo. However, even above all their pie in the sky ideas about wealth redistribution and imaginary grievances, they value their own physical security first and foremost. Well, at least some of them do. I think these voters will be enough to weight the election towards a candidate who radiates confidence, charisma and most of all, CARE for America, not candidates who reflect CAIR for Muslims.
On edit, here's a brief clip about the 1924 US Immigration Act, which essentially froze most immigration into the country. Congress has the authority to act, unlike the President they are actually constitutionally permitted to enact laws!

...'My take on him is that at this point, the Establishment has told Jeb to pack up and go home so they can consolidate around the next puppet candidate, Rubio.... :yahoo:
I for one highly doubt that Rubio will be able to take his home state. Becoming an "absentee" Senator and then jockeying for the White House was another stupid move on his part ... this will seal his coffin; especially when his vote will be made known. If Muslim immigration continues and we see more terrorist attacks ... Rubio will have blood on his hands.

I can't see Rubio winning right now. The MSM is touting him as the next upcoming potential nominee once he and Cruz have finished battling it out. I kind of see it the other way around, that once Cruz takes Rubio out it will be Trump vs. Cruz. At that time, or beforehand, if you see both Trump and Cruz holding back on flat out attacking one another I think it will point to a pre agreement early in the primaries.
Just came across this in the political insider, but it's from back when those two decided to join forces against Obola's Iranian surrender, er, treaty. I was particularly interested in the comments section.

It's been rumored for a while the Trump and Cruz have some type of agreement. I'm not quite so sure. I'm hoping they join forces to see that Rubio's poll numbers drop. Trump and Cruz who would have thought?

As you posted elsewhere, why not? Trump has brass balls, and the delicateness of a bull elephant in heat. Cruz is more sophisticated but possesses the same brass balls. Unlike Obola, their wives don't hold said balls a mouse would die laughing over in their latest overpriced clutch purse we the People paid for on one of her innumerable foreign jaunts.
I find it fascinating in this latest contretemps about Trump's sensible remarks about halting Muslim immigration until we can figure out what the hell we are doing, he's been attacked like a person out on a stroll by a pack of rabid dogs foaming at the mouth with invective. The mere fact that the howls of outrage come from all the usual suspects, the MSM shills for the status quo as well as the spineless professional politicians on both sides of the aisle whose rise and sustained tenure in the halls of power were aided and abetted by said MSM is only the latest indication that Trump hit a nerve.
Does anyone reading this truly believe these asshats really care one whit for Muslim sensibilities? They obviously don't give a shit about keeping true, loyal and patriotic Americans safe and secure within their own borders, one of their ONLY duties as ennumerated by the Constitution.
They've been brainwashed, or cynically manipulate, what they believe to be the ignorant unwashed masses that in the words of the Obola:
And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
Not that I REALLY need to post a link, but
http://www.politico.com/blogs/ben-smith/2008/04/obama-on-small-town-pa-clinging-to-religion-guns-xenophobia-007737
Surprise, surprise, surprise, as Gomer Pyle would proclaim:
We ignorant rubes have risen and neither Dem or Rep leaders or any MSM pinheaded piehole spokespigeon for them are going to turn the tide of history.
This election, as far as I'm concerned, is OVER.

Here is where you really learn just how out of touch many of our elected officials are. All these "candidates" jumping on Trump because he suggested we should suspend immigration from Jihadist breeding grounds while we work out a better way of vetting them and yet most of the Republican base agrees with Trump. I'm sure that Rubio thinks he is scoring point with Republican voters but he isn't. Neither is Graham and the rest of them.
Why is trump on top in the polls? Because he offers solutions (whether they are good or bad is beside the point) and they offer meaningless rhetoric. I am not a fan of Trump but even I can see why people are getting behind him. Most of our candidates just don't get it and don't have a clue as to what people want. They are supposed to be elected because they have views that coincide with the views of voters, that is, to vote as the voters would if they had the chance. When they proudly declare the intentions to vote against the desires of voters that puts more people in Trump's yes column.

I totally agree w/ this. The GOPe have probably come to realize that Jeb has absolutely zero chance of getting the nomination and they are going to begin moving their money to Rubio, who at this point, still has a chance in most polls.
By the way, I know it's being reported by a lot of the typical left wing rags... but has anyone read the stories coming out regarding Rubio having a long time affair with a lobbyist? There's also several sites stating that Jeb's campaign is pushing the info out there, in hopes of getting some of Rubio's votes.

Take it w/ a grain of salt of course, but it is interesting.

Very disapointed in their votes on this. I expected better from both of them.

Well, the good news is, Kasich is irrelevant and I feel fairly confident, Rubio will have to answer for this vote in the debates.

You will notice, this is an MSNBC poll? :panic:

Well, how accurate a picture can polling 5 people provide?

Ken, I looked up the Rubio affair rumor in the National Enquirer. We all remember its spread of the Bill stain on the blue dress story, right? :-) No joy re the Rubio affair, however, his voting history in Congress, when he can be bothered to show up and do his job, should be enough to sink him with any voter concerned about national security and law and order.
