Islamic State group targets gays with brutal public killings

REYHANLI, Turkey — Before a crowd of men on a street in the Syrian city of Palmyra, the masked Islamic State group judge read out the sentence against the two men convicted of homosexuality: They would be thrown to their deaths from the roof of the nearby Wael Hotel.
He asked one of the men if he was satisfied with the sentence. Death, the judge told him, would help cleanse him of his sin.
"I'd prefer it if you shoot me in the head," 32-year-old Hawas Mallah replied helplessly. The second man, 21-year-old Mohammed Salameh, pleaded for a chance to repent, promising never to have sex with a man again, according to a witness among the onlookers that sunny July morning who gave The Associated Press a rare first-hand account.
"Take them and throw them off," the judge ordered. Other masked extremists tied the men's hands behind their backs and blindfolded them. They led them to the roof of the four-story hotel, according to the witness, who spoke in the Turkish city of Reyhanli on condition he be identified only by his first name, Omar, for fear of reprisals.

Cowardly, murderous bullies.
The DUmp must be in an uproar over this.

1. And not that far off from what this GOP supporter believes, in fact this GOP supporter
agrees

And we know that those who attended his event agree too, dont we.

2. Yeah
Good thing we have laws in this country, not ones that empower and deify these murderous, hateful bullies

4. And yet this is about two actual people who were actually killed by specific others
It is sometimes a custom to mourn the dead without insisting that somehow their demise is similar to our own continued living. They murdered them. Can it be about us later?

3. They are applying the Sharia
Bukhari (72 : 774) - "The Prophet cursed effeminate men (those men who are in the similitude (assume the manners of women) and those women who assume the manners of men, and he said, 'Turn them out of your houses .' The Prophet turned out such-and-such man, and 'Umar turned out such-and-such woman."
al-Tirmidhi, Sunan 1:152 - "Whoever is found conducting himself in the manner of the people of Lot, kill the doer and the receiver."
The Sharia and freedom of choice are not really compatible.
Don't even mention marriage equality..
The howls of outrage over such a "religion" that would espouse such violence and calls for terrorism are going to be fierce!
Oh wait, guess not, that is the entire thread.

Curious as to why ISIS bothers to blindfold the condemned? You would think that if they want maximum terror they would make them look down before throwing them over.

For ease. It is easier to toss a disoriented person off a building than one fighting back as they see the edge of the roof.

and what happens when we import enough islamic folk into this Country that they begin establishing pockets where sharia law becomes the norm and our laws are tossed aside?

Some states have tried to pass laws banning the practice of sharia law, but the demonrats always oppose them.

So, I thought I'd find out what in the world r1 was talking about when he linked to that Rachel MadCow video. It took a few tries to find an article that had more info than just embedding the MadCow video (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2015/11/13/gop-candidates-have-gotten-a-pass-on-appearing-with-a-very-anti-gay-pastor-but-why/). Anyway, the conference was National Religious Liberties Conference 2015 (https://freedom2015.org/), and r1's and MadCow's bogeyman is Kevin Swanson.
Four points:
* Predictably, r1, MadCow, and gay activists have disingenuously read much more into Swanson's comment than is actually there. Even the WashPost writer acknowledged this, without characterizing the activists as I did.
* While issues involving gay "rights" were one of the foci of the conference - because of the recent USSC decision - it was not the sole focus.
* While Swanson's ministry was a sponsor of the event it was not the only sponsor. It was one of a half dozen. Two of the sponsors were statewide Christian homeschoolers associations from CO and I, groups with whom conservative-leaning candidates would want to make contact.
* While Swanson was one of several keynote speakers, there were on the order of a couple of dozen speakers at the conference. While it is possible they did, I saw no evidence in the conference schedule that the three R candidates ever shared the platform with Swanson. At most I would guess Swanson may have introduced them prior to their speeches.
So, unsurprisingly, r1, Rachel MadCow, and various gay activists are trying to Himalayanize an anthill whose existence is doubtful.
Dudes like r1 and TMN have such a need to vent their Christophobia that they will divert or hijack any thread into which they think they can shoehorn it. Pathetic ... sad, but pathetic.

It sounds like Obama had closer ties to an actual terrorist, Bill Ayers, than what any republicans have to this guy.

Leftists and Islamists are the same thing.
