I refuse to honor the Plege to the American Flag
We all worked, father, mother and children-we could not afford medical care, dental care. My adult daughter died from lack of medical care-oh yes, she worked...their dental problems were many in adult hood-they all worked for "the man". It is a crappy country that when you work your basic human needs cannot be met because those with money refuse to be responsible to the nation as a whole. I'm sick of conservatives as I see the "I got mine to hell with you".
I see the children of the poor and middle class on the front lines of our wars. You with money have your children at home because they are not forced to work to survive like the low income population. I have lost respect for this nation because of YOU. And if you want to dis me trying living as a low income person: no medical, no dental, no decent childcare. If your country's monetary system cannot care for all of its citizens-it is a FAILURE and so are you that support that system. Slavery was supposed to be done and over with....income slavery is no different.

2. Everyone in the richest country in the world should have food and shelter.
I never understood the pledge anyway. The flag comes before the nation. Wouldn't it make more sense to pledge allegiance to your country, period?

I can't honestly remember the last time I've been in circumstances which dictated recitation of the pledge. A handful of times in various Texas grade schools in the early-mid seventies, but even then it was only special occasions and never a daily obligation.
On the other hand, the older I get the less validity I place in imaginary borders anyways, as they seem to serve one purpose above all others-- to pretend "they" are them and "we" are us.
I will be right over to take what I want of your stuff.

People in third world shit holes pack up and leave their cardboard boxes to come to the U.S. to be "poor".

Notice it does NOT say 'Free college education, free health care, guaranteed income, free broadband and internet services, and free housing for all.' Hillary may be challenging the justice part (In her own favor, of course), but the liberty part simply means the freedom to use the means you can legally obtain to pursue your own lifestyle, not that anyone else is obliged to underwrite it.
