Wow...I think Donald tRump is making mocking handicaps OK.
I am hearing impaired and I do a bit of signing and I have a service dog. Today, my friend and I were made fun of and mocked by a woman in a restaurant where we went to dine. This kind of stuff just amazes me. My friend told her the dog was a service dog and to leave us alone. Did not stop her one bit! Did the whole tRump hand gesture stuff at me pretending to do ASL. I am shocked not only at her, but the people with her sat silently there while she did this and just stared at the table where they were seated.
I do have to say that about 99% of the people I see while out with my service dog -- both the public and employees of places where we go -- are absolutely wonderful. I have been able to interact with young children and show them what service dogs are all about while mine goes through her paces. I am lucky to have her and feel badly some feel that it is OK to mock a handicap and to try to interfere with a service dog while she was on duty.

They always have to make themselves part of a story. :whatever:

Okay.
I know Audrey.
It's a feel-good bouncy she made up.

I am sure that I join everyone in saying I have NEVER seen anyone mistreat a disabled person.

Me either, but it seems to happen to DUmmies with regularity.

That one hurt to read. Donald Trump had nothing to do with the story, but maybe this guy did:

Audrey, please slap yourself.

I havent seen, nor experienced it either.
As a rule, patrons and wait staff are gracious and helpful.
Maybe the DUmpscrunt did experience what she says.
Then, I wonder what their DUmp handle is?

Nah, it's always been OK to mock liberals/progressives.
.

No cops, bushes, applause, or conversion.
Lamest bouncy ever, and there have been some real stinkers lately.
Haven't paid attention to this DUmmie before.
Is she/he/it always this full of BS......wait, what am I saying, :thatsright: of course the DUmmies are full of BS.

There is a very popular TV show that routinely makes fun of people with a handicap and yet I've never seen it mentioned anywhere.
On The Big Bang Theory, the character of Barry Kripke talks like Elmer Fudd. Even though they never make fun of his manner of speaking, it is done for laughs.

Hearing impaired needs a service dog?
WTF?

One has to understand Audrey here.
She enjoys a quality of life that's generally denied most deaf and hard-of-hearing women, one of the most-abused subgroups in contemporary society. (For the record, deaf and hard-of-hearing men are treated mountains better than our female counterparts.)
Having a service dog gives her status as someone "special," and she uses it to the hilt.

Pretty much everyone involved in the making of TBBT are friends of the DNC. - it 'mostly' avoids politics, but it does have special snowflake status conferred upon it .
Also, its pretty obvious that Sheldon is a high functioning autistic, and his inability to understand basic human interaction is made fun of in nearly every episode. Not a peep from the left. Also, Indians ( as in people from India ) are routinely mocked, as are Jews. - The show also has the stereotypical 'dumb blonde' as well as a dowdy intelligent female.
So - the show makes fun of handicaps, religion, race and women. - And the left says nothing.

Yes, hearing dogs are a real thing.

The difference here between you and Audrey is that you'd like, and have, the dog even if you didn't need one.
But for Audrey, her dog's a status symbol reminding other people that she's "special;" the attitude stands out in just about every original post she's made on Skins's island.

No doubt. Another difference is that we do things, we live life fully. Velvet works hard; she has saved my ass more than once. :cheersmate:
The only time she's not with me is when I'm on my motorcycle, or shooting.
The other day, someone said to me, "I recognize your dog from the radio." :lmao:

This is totally off subject, but when service dog was mentioned, it reminded me of the time my stepson took our Dachshund to Walmart. When the greeter stopped him, stepson told greeter he was a service dog.
Greeter: "What kind of service dog is that?"
Stepson: "He's a seeing eye weiner!"

I was wondering what unstated other behavior on her part could possibly be involved to prompt such uncommon behavior, as I'm sure it would not simply be the fact of someone being seated in a public accommodation with a service animal...taking for the sake of argument that the story was not entirely a fabrication to garner attention for the poster and her own 'Specialhood.'

That is the part they always leave out.

Nor have I. I've seen a church that was designing a new facility incorporate wheelchair access ramps into its design for the sake of a paraplegic member. I've seen churches love on members with Down Syndrome and other disabilities. Ditto various sorts of businesses and their customers. But I've not seen such mockery in public. Ditto large and small road and trail running/walking races.
No society with 2 or more people is totally deficient of idiocy, but I think her 1% is exaggerated by an order of magnitude or two.

Hey Hepburn...two words for you...Trig Palin.

Oh yeah. I forgot that one.
The problem is, Democrats, liberals, and primitives make merry of the disabled so much that one forgets specific instances.

Technically you could be on the list of people with a handicap or disability the Libtards have mocked.
But I'm pretty sure you don't view yourself as being in either category.

For some reason I suspect Hepburn could find examples right there on DU of mocking Trig Palin or saying that he should have been killed before being born.
