I stand with Planned Parenthood. Always.
Tonight, more than ever in the wake of this terrorist attack.
Years and years ago my girlfriend took me there for help with a STD. They were excellent.
I took my daughter there at age 16 for sex ed and contraceptives, Again, they were excellent.
So many of my friends have benefited from their services.
I am sick over this. Very pissed off, also.
Right wing politicians who gin up this hate have blood on their hands tonight.
Help with a STD? Why would you say that on a internet forum?

I don't know where one is either, but there is a New Life Pregnancy Center. They offer counselling to pregnant women, but I've heard that they push adoption instead of abortion if a woman doesn't want to keep a child.

This also seems dubious or incomplete. K1 didn't have a family doctor? Couldn't go to the ER? Doctors have been keeping parents in the dark about such things for decades. K1 could have gone to her local County Health Department? The local PP had the docs to diagnose the STD and the proper antibiotics on hand?
I suspect the fuller story behind this :bouncy: was more like: GF took K1 to PP; the PP clinician said, "Oh crap! You need to see a doctor. Here's a referral to Dr. Smith-Jones, (s)he won't tell your parents." (And under his/her breath muttered, "And will give us a nice kickback for the referral."); K1 saw the doctor who gave her a shot, some pills, and a package of condoms.

Of course it is to a DUche. It involves their religion planned parenthood, and the holy sacrement of "taking the daughter to get her birth control"/getting checked for an STD". God these people have no idea how repellent they are to normal people.

It's sad that these things are considered to be signs that one is "hip and trendy". These people disgust me.
