Every year I dread heading into winter. I've been watching its impending approach for a week now.
on Monday it was 60% chance of an inch of snow. then it was 90%, then 100%.
Yesterday that inch became 3-5 inches...just because.
Friday is my day off. So I got all my groceries Thursday night, and camped in my little home. First the lawns went white...now the street is white.
sigh. 3 weary months of winter. Wah. OK, you all can laugh at me now.
I got the important winter storm survival stuff. jelly beans, ice cream, cookies, a pot roast and I ordered Chinese food for lunch. There is a pecan pie in the fridge, and a turkey breast for thanksgiving crock pot goodness.
I have Mac n'cheese. chips and Pepsi. a couple of movies. The complete Benny Hill show.
I might survive until Monday

sounds like you live in a very privileged place.

What is this snow you speak of?

Lib weathermen are making a big deal about how early the season's first significant snow is coming.
It will be record setting for earliness of the first inch of snow for the season in almost every city.

Must be entertaining, hearing their explanations that early snow is due to Global WARMING!
I was in Livermore last weekend for a half marathon. I'm a bit OCD about being early so as to have room for error in unfamiliar places, and to get a parking space, so I got there around 6:30. The sun wasn't up yet, and the temp was in the mid-30s! I got out of my car to use a porta-can (~45 minute drive) and afterward went right back to my much less chilly car. The start time was 8:30, much less chilly, and the first half of the course was unshaded, so ...
The SF Bay Area seldom gets snow, even in the Santa Cruz Mountains or Coast Ranges east of San Jose and the bay, so you won't hear too many complaints about cold or snow from me.

that's why they have changed their meme to climate change. It conveniently covers all the bases for them to continue with their fleecing scam anytime the weather does what weather normally does, which is to change.

That was very white of you.

I micro-aggressed everyone who could not have pie for breakfast.

I may have to do that tomorrow -- first holiday alone. Sounds like a pie for breakfast day to me!

It's grey here today, and it's forecast to be a white--and icy--Thanksgiving in the Sandhills.
I dunno if it's coming your way, though.

We got about 11" a week ago, stuck round for a couple of days then went away. I enjoyed watching it come down and enjoy that it's gone.

My in-laws are going to have to return home going through the front, which should be all rain by the time they go.

Drove through the front this Past Sunday.
It rained almost the whole way, Ark to Ind.
