ISIS made two videos and said DC is next.
That would be the mother of all game changers and would open the proverbial gates of Hell.
Barry, of course, blew this off and said "I have defeated the JV team and there is nothing to fear."
Hillary said, "There is no Islamic radicalism."
Bernie said, "We should make pre-school free for everyone!"
Slow Joe replied, "Is it Taco Tuesday?"

10. Is not France a member of NATO? Why would an attack on Washington DC invoke Article 5, while an attack on Paris would not? Please explain to me how our response will be different if Washington DC is attacked. Please elaborate on the details of the "Gates of Hell"
That has more to do with Barry being a ****ing ***** than NATO agreements.

14. So let me get this straight....If Wash DC (or anyplace else in the US) gets attacked by ISIS, our response will be "boots on the ground". We will wait to be attacked, and then respond with ground forces.
DemocratSinceBirth (61,309 posts)
17. They aren't boots on the ground. They are human beings who will be shot at. A Paris style attack on DC would raise the stakes exponentially and if not handled properly would strengthen the forces on the right and quite possibly hand the White House to the Republicants in 2016
... Republicants?

7. At least the current administration would take the threat seriously but what I don't get is why announce where/who you are going to attack? I woke up today and the news is saying France was warned.

Bunch of gay bars in DC?

19. Thanks for the link. Sheesh, don't they realize that progressives are more open-minded and culturally sensitive? That they would seek to create enemies from their natural pool of supporters is not too smart...

20. Is this a serious post? Have you been paying attention at all? "Natural pool of supporters"? You think progressives could potentially be ISIS supporters? ISIS doesn't WANT supporters. The only supporters they want are those who will join with them to kill as many people as possible.
Wow.
when philo thinks you've made a stupid post you have done very well...

22. I guess I was a little too nuanced. This is both a cultural as well as a political struggle. Why specifically attack progressives? Many of these will unwittingly join conservatives in their anti-immigrant anti-Muslim rhetoric - which is certainly running in high-gear today.
My two cents...
OMFG.

26. These people are arch-conservatives. Everything about modern progressive culture is repellent to fundy assholes like Daesh. I very much suspect that the idea of "decadent" progressives being supporters horrifies them, actually. Daesh aren't interested in support from infidels, apostates, etc.
funny that all the liberals support them though.

Too give Obama and the Dhimmicrats notice to vacate the area and to surreptitiously lower surveillance on radicals in the surrounding area.
Basically it's the their request to Obama for assistance in carrying out their attack. He's already doing so by letting "refugees" flood in.

Here's a thought. Since barry is so gung ho on importing 10,000 syrian "refugees" into the Country ASAP and you don't believe isis has the capability to attack D.C., how about the first 10,000 "refugees" be brought into D.C. and settle there?

If the Lyin' King wants them here so badly, then he should let them pitch their tents on the White House lawn. Moochelle Antoinette can feed them- they're already used to the 'refugee diet'.

Watch the primitives throw a fit over the food the refugees would be given despite the fact it would match federal guidelines for school meal plans.

So, there is a threat to DU from ISIS, and what are the DU turds concerned about ?
The 2016 election.
Some things transcend politics - such as an attack on our country directed at civilians.. Or at least that is how it should be.
-
What with the way these MORONS have been blaming the Bush administration for ignoring the warnings about 9/11 you would think that they would be screaming for Obama to be shutting down airports and rounding up and interring all muslims.
I mean it would follow wouldn't it?
-
There are several threads at the DUmp now blaming Bush for ignoring :whatever: vague security briefings previous to 9/11.
These imbeciles don`t ever read their own forum.

Baghdad says warned Iran, France & US of looming terror attacks
EXCERPT:
A day after the devastating terror attacks in Paris, Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari said his country’s intelligence services had warned governments of three countries, including France, that terrorists had chosen as primary targets.
“Information has been obtained from Iraqi intelligence sources that the countries to be targeted soon are Europe in general, specifically France, as well as America and Iran,†Ibrahim al-Jaafari said on Saturday on the sidelines of Vienna negotiations searching to put an end to the war in Syria.
Al-Jaafari did not go into detail which terrorist organization is posing the threat, but he urged a global response to Islamic State (IS, former ISIL/ISIS), which is currently controlling large areas of Iraq and Syria.

What do you do to stop it?
Go!

16. A warning borders on useless if there aren't any details
Without a rough of idea of the where, when and method of the attack, taking sufficient measures to stop the attack is very difficult.

23. This is true
but we also don't know what information was passed along in that warning. It may be enough for intelligence agencies to ferret out the details.
The biggest obstacle is if the warnings don't suggest a timeline.
Just amazing how the dogma can change depending on the politics.

Boots on the ground is another New term to sanitize and de-humanize war and carnage. Boots aren't killed...young men and women are.
Henceforth boots will be referred to as peanut butter tenderizers.

When terror attacks, adults come together to confront and destroy it and its practitioners.
Sheep on the other hand, scatter, bleat, and point fingers.
There is no question which group the DUmmies fall into.
