Valid question. I would say maybe... but not under this president.

Are we on the tipping point of WWIII?
What do you think? I can totally see Putin trying to take advantage of this moment, helping his pal Assad crush the opposition, not ISIS. I wonder if China, sensing US weakness, will attempt to display their power.
The old curse- we do live in interesting times.
Why are we weak? It's because we elected a community organizer and a bunch of twits to run the country.

9. WWIII?????
No way in HELL are we on a course for WWIII.
It's insane to even contemplate that we are on a course for WWIII
Like I said- not under this president.

19. Good grief...Nobody is going to drop nuclear bombs,...
Unless, of course, Trump get elected, then all bets are off.

3. Since the tens of thousands of Muslims and a others killed all around the world by terrorists has
not set off a world war why would an attack and mass murders in France do it?
Kind of Weterncentric to say so.
We fought until barry became president then we gave up and retreated all around the world. No surprise ISIS grew until it is what we see now. Now Barry can't admit the world is worse because it would mean his entire world view is wrong.

39. Getting that tyrant Sadamn out of power really helped the Iraqi people.
I never thought this before, but some countries I think do better with a tyrant.
It did help Iraq- until we left with the job not done.

11. FFS, calm down, I hate this drama shit. nt
Let me put it to you this way.
Russia is not our enemy in this no more than the Soviet Union was not our enemy when we fought WW2. Clearly our political goals will not line up, just as they didn't in the 1940s, but the enemy we both face is way worse than what we face against each other. We allied up with the USSR to defeat a larger evil. JUST LIKE WE SHOULD BE DOING NOW.

21. Putin sees the US as weakened, & with no taste for war. He has pressed that to his advantage aquiring part of soveriegn nation. We did nothing. He sees us as weak, he will push as far as he can now.
there is only one reason Russia see us weak:

40. But, the US is going 'the other way'...TPP is about keeping China out of control, just read Obama's own words about TPP and 'the pivot to the far east'.
We, and the nations we rally around us are as capable of acting in our own interests, at the costs of other countries, as is ISIS. There is a problem that emerges from the very foundations of human group behavior. Banding together just excavates the hole for the next problem. Whatever economic/political/religious beliefs that become dogmatic and a source of power will be protected against change and result in fundamentalist defense.

25. Our best play would be to step aside and let Russia and China move in. They are both itching to get back into The Great Game and we should let them scratch that itch. The ME is a poison ivy patch we need to get out of.

37. King Abdullah II of Jordan thinks so. I consider him to be a very smart man. Western educated but knows the ME damn well. I agree with him it is probably the start of a global conflict.

48. You could argue that WWIII started with the illegal occupation of Afghanistan.
:thatsright:

It must be odd to live in a world of make believe.

We are already in WWIII. Just because nukes haven't be used or no one has stated it openly doesn't mean the condition doesn't exist.

Neither Obozo nor that pompous fool Lurch will make a 'No retreat' stand against Putin or China, and both of the Russians and Chinese know that. To the extent that they are showing restraint, it's only in the interests of preserving the appearance of diplomacy for the sake of the longer game.
Not that I think Putin is doing the wrong thing in Syria. Our policy is insanely counterproductive. We want to destabilize Assad and choke his ability to fight, but the next-most-powerful player is ISIS which our policy has only empowered. As far as the 'Good' rebels are concerned, they are completely ineffective, the only point where our support might have mattered positively was back in the 'Red line' days (And we know how that went), and now they're nothing but a sideshow. The only recognized government in Syria is Assad's, and Putin was invited in by it; that Syrian government has not acted against us, and therefore I do not see any legitimate basis for the West to claim any superior right to operate in Syria against anything but ISIS-controlled areas. Since ISIS has no air force, the idea of declaring a 'No fly zone' strikes me as something the Russians and Syrians could laugh off, and something for which there is no detectable legal basis in international law.
On top of all that, the 'Forces of democracy' which we are supposedly backing to oust Assad are somewhere between Turkey and the USA, all the military age men we are supposedly supporting in the fight are in the refugee stream, along with thousands of ISIS sleepers and hundreds of thousands of Muslims with just as primitive and barbaric worldviews as the assholes they are running from. People are adaptive, if you give them a choice between leaving for The Land of the Big PX and fighting an oppressive government while eating rocks and dirt, most of them will pick the 'Leave' option. The ones who stay in those circumstances are just as crazy and bloodthirsty as the oppressors they're fighting, they are not more democratic or cuddlier. Throwing open the gates of the West essentially cuts the legs out from under any popular rising that has any chance of ending in democratic government in Syria (The prospect of which I find incredibly dubious to begin with).

Progressive douchebag president Wilson brought us WWI.
Progressive douchebag president Roosevelt brought us WWII.
Progressive douchebag president Obama is bringing us WWIII.
Progressive policies bring nothing but greater misery to billions and hundreds of millions of deaths. The fail of progressivism in the 29th century was phenomenal. Yet the left side of the IQ normal distribution keeps thinking "If just the right person could run it."

197 Dead with 343 wounded at a Raiders/Titans game (With only 4 Attackers using Grenades and small arms) would only compel teh Messiah to double down on peace & threaten any Americans who go vigilante (Oathkeeper/Militia/ Rogue Law Enforcement including BP or ICE) who try and stem the flow of Islamic Refugees or Illegals with maximum prison sentences for Hate Crimes.

I'll give you a H5, but you're making a big assumption that 540 people would actually go to see a Raiders/Titans game in Tennessee . . . :whistling:

Instead of an aggressive Imperial Japan in the Far East..we've got an aggressive Communist China making land grabs.
Instead of Hitler intervening into the Spanish Civil War on the side of Franco...we've got Putin coming to Assad's aid in Syria.
Once again we see America doing the bare minimum to pick a side and England, France and most of Europe with their eyes closed tight to the threat about to engulf them.
What's that about those that don't learn from history...

You'll probably get ten times that just to watch the new QB get crushed by LA.
