Title: Family Background of Central Figure in Mizzou Protests Comes to Light
Post by: txradioguy on November 12, 2015, 03:42:18 AM
Graduate student Jonathan Butler became a central figure in racially charged protests on the University of Missouri campus when he announced he’d remain on a hunger strike until the the university system’s president, Timothy Wolfe, resigned.

Shortly after members of the Missouri football team put their support behind the effort, Wolfe announced his resignation.

In the aftermath, critics of the student protests are taking notice of Butler’s family background.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports:

Quote
Jonathan Butler played high-school football at Omaha Central High, where he won a state championship, and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mizzou, the newspaper reports. He is working toward a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy.

He is a member of a prominent Omaha family. The newspaper says that Butler’s father is Eric L. Butler, executive vice president for sales and marketing for the Union Pacific Railroad. His 2014 compensation was $8.4 million, according to regulatory filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Eric L. Butler and his wife, Cynthia Butler, serve as pastors of Joy of Life Ministries, the newspaper reported. Along with Jonathan Butler, the couple has two other children.

Butler’s family is rumored to be worth millions of dollars.

The graduate student reportedly declined an interview request by the Post-Dispatch.

All these little marxists want is, a free college degree, fully paid student loans, and last but not least $15.00 minimum wage...

A group of student activists calling itself the Million Student March are demanding free education.
What they need are more math classes and the reality check that nothing in life is free.

A student spokesperson for the group proved that in an interview on Fox Business Network’s Cavuto:
Coast to Coast, on Nov. 11.

Anchor Neil Cavuto highlighted a protest taking place at Brooklyn College, called the Million Student March, and interviewed Keely Mullen to find out what the group demands.
“Uh, so the three core demands of the National Day of Action are, free public college, a cancellation of student debt, and a $15 an hour minimum wage, um, for people who work on the campus,” Mullen said.

“And how’s that gonna be paid?” Cavuto asked.
She told him that the one-percenters should foot the bill.

After that, the interview went down hill for Mullen as Cavuto respectfully challenged her to run the numbers.
Initially she reiterated a predictable, liberal response, claiming the financial burden should be paid by the one percent because they’re part of a economic “injustice.” -

When Cavuto informed her that all of the money made by the top one percent couldn’t keep Medicare alone afloat for three years, Mullen was at a loss for words.

“I don’t … yeah … I don’t believe that …” Mullen’s stammered.

Not only that, but the top one percent don’t even have enough to pay for Mullen’s three demands.
Cavuto went on to explain that, while free education sounds like a great idea, no one will ultimately be willing to pay for her and her fellow classmates to have a free ride.

Keep yourselves ignorant, libs.

Leftists revolts like this are always carried out by people from wealthy backgrounds. Just look at Vladimir Lenin, Che Guevara, and Fidel and Raul Castro. Many Islamists come from more educated and wealthier backgrounds.
