I have never met a sane Trump or Carson supporter. Have you?
I talked with a Trump supporter the other day. He told me that the New World Order led by the Rothschilds (yes, this is what he told me) feared honest, strong leaders like Trump. He liked Carson too, but felt his support for mandatory immunization disqualified him from being Presidential material.
This got me thinking about Republicans I know. Not a one who regularly talks to me claims to support Trump or Carlson. I have had some limited contact with supporters of both candidates. Invariably, their politics moves from utter hatred of Hillary Clinton and Obama to a kind of freeform paranoid craziness not unlike what I've described above. The one exception I've encountered was a religious fundamentalist - itself a form of craziness - who liked Carson mostly for being a nice guy.
Is this merely indicative of my own limited perspective, or has someone out there encountered a fully rational adult human being, one comfortable with science and modernity, who genuinely likes and supports either of the two Republican frontrunners? And if so, could you share your experience?

1. They've wandered off from truth
It's like a functional alcoholic that constantly makes excuses. They left reality years ago and discovered it is much easier to work in the area of "it should work" than to actually deal with the reality of whether their ideas actually do work. They've been pushing ideas for 30 years that have demonstrably not worked, and it doesn't bother them one bit. It's why they had academia and scientific knowledge in general, because it involves ideas being "disprovable" and that is a real problem for them.
For the drunk, it's never the alcohol, it's always something else. For the GOP its never their ideas, its always the facts that are a problem.

3. A sane Carson supporter - two days ago.
I noticed he was sane, because when I countered Carson's line about arming Jews with weapons to prevent a Holocaust (my counterargument: the presence of weapons led to a powerless Weimar republic, which led to the rise of the NSDAP) the supporter said: thanks for that historical perspective, maybe I should disagree with Carson on that idea.
You people don't know what sane is.

Nice strawmen.
Don't light up any cigarettes around them, or they might go up in flames.

Damn man. Trump really scares the hell out of them doesn't he? Even if you don't care for Trump, you have to admit it would be fun to see the leftists have a stroke if he was elected.

Trump has some good things, not my first or even second choice. But your exactly right, watching the dummies have a fit would be a blast!

sane = Completely agreeing with a liberal
insane = Daring to have even the slightest difference in opinion about anything

That's understandable since your caregiver never lets you out of the asylum.

Depends on your definition. To my knowledge, I've never met a DUmp person. I know numerous leftists, and we get along fine. And they are rational & pleasant to be around.
Don't know if you remember this Frank. Ages ago, Ben Burch & I exchanged opinions often at "Liberal Underground". He said, Ralph, I bet you would be fun to have a beer with.
I can get along with most folks, even liberals.

Yeah, I remember that--from our old home, lo these many years ago--when Fat Che said on Wikipedia that "Ralph Wiggum" was the only conservative worth knowing.
Myself, I wouldn't go near the guy without having a whole bunch of leashed lions with me.

Wait a minute. That DUmmie was talking to another left-wing nutjob. They're the ones believing in that crap.

I think if Trump does win the presidency there would be mass suicide of the leftists... especially the ones in the media. They have already tried to take him down and he always seems to come up smelling like a rose. Can you imagine the MSM heads exploding after they call him an idiot? I can see it now... Trump would tell them he has janitors working for him that that have more brains and talent than them. He would have them sputtering like the idiots they are within his first week in office.
Man that would be almost worth it to vote for him... almost.

How funny would it be for Trump to buy Comcast, which owns a big chunk of MSNBC?

Since many/most DU-grade Progs can't imagine an intelligent, sane, decent person disagreeing with them, this DU-character has pretty much built his conclusion into his definition of "sane".
But I'm totally OK with DU-folk and like Progs refusing to understand and under-estimating Rs and conservatives. They set themselves up very amusing - to us - consternation when those they think idiots beat their candidates and issues. And of such disappointments the most entertaining conspiracy theories are born.

That would be hilarious!!! Especially if he ended up firing all their liberal hosts! I could see him walking on the set right in the middle of their daily dose of stupidity and say "You're fired!".
If that didn't make the dummies all jump off a bridge I don't know what would.

The only people I've heard insane enough to believe in a Rothschilde (corporate) new world order is the left.

Amazing how the person is suddenly sane when they completely buy the DUmmie talking point. Many factors affected the Weimar Republic. An armed public had little to do with it. But, it's a lovely talking point for the left.

Cognitive dissonance or just plain old mental retardation?
Another trait of super high IQ people is feeling cheated by other people that have lower IQs because they accomplish so much more and a far more successful.

Coming from a group that considers supporting Obama the pinnacle of sanity... I'll stick w/ anyone they consider insane, any day of the week.

Considering they support Hillery and Bernie as the bestest and brightest their party has to offer, I question their definition of "sanity".

Sane or no, I've never met an Obama supporter who thinks ahead or takes responsibility for their own short-sightedness.
