Well, it's supposed to be "w00t" but instead I'm at work! :bawl:
The receptionist that works on Saturdays called in sick. :bawl:
I'm stuck here until 6pm (central). Keep me entertained!
I hope everyone else is having a good Saturday.
-
Its evilI tell you!!!! making you work on a perfectly good day like it is here. Sunny and 78 degress probably going to make mid to high 80's.
-
I am going to a cookout at 3 p.m. I am currently nursing a mild hangover.
-
I'm getting ready to go to work. :bawl: I'll be working 8 hours today, and 9 tomorrow.

It's supposed to get up to at least 100 here today. Thank god for air conditioning!
I was sleeping so well when I got the phone call. They know I'm reliable and will come in when asked to. I have to work next Saturday too because the same girl is having her wisdom teeth taken out next Friday.
I did bring a project to work on today with me to work. Hopefully these dumbass customers stop calling.

I'm just tired because of the allergies and so I'm hungover from Benadryl.
I did just find out that the sales manager just told a sales guy that he can't hang out with another sales guy (Aaron isn't "allowed" to be friends with Eric) anymore, including outside of work. :mental:
Our sales manager can be such a dumbass, he's pushing good salesmen away from here.
-
Sorry to hear you had to go in this morning, Mia. That sucks. But if memory serves, you have a cool kids hang-out this evening or something to look forward to, right? :-)
I'm about to head out the door to run some last minute errands before my trip tomorrow. I'm going to look for some cute tops at Ross. I also need to stop at Target and couple of other places for some last minute items.
I'm so ready to go!
-
I plan to take a break from taking a break and clean out some drawers which have become disorganized. I keep preaching "keep like things together" but no one will listen to me. It is the first rule of organization.
Then I'll nap.

Yes, it's us "cool" kids regularly on Saturday nights. The sales manager is trying to break up the cool kids apparently. Hence, his stupid "you can't hang out with so and so." And he can't do that anyways!
Ahh, I wish I was going on vacation! I'm so jealous!

That manager sounds a lot like one at my workplace. She's been going behind other assistant managers' backs, cutting everyone's hours (and got in trouble when the store manager questioned her about it). People are quitting left and right because of her. My best friend who worked there also walked out the door one day without warning, after having an argument with this particular control freak asst. manager. We're losing all the good employees because of her.

Enjoy your vacation. I'll be taking one on the 4th through 8th, to visit an old friend from high-school. :cheersmate:

Well the thing is I know one of them has a job offer from a Honda store right now. He can make a whole lot more money doing that, but he does like it here. This is the kind of thing that will put him over the edge and leaving straight to Honda. And the other guy will quit too.

Got home from camping yesterday.
Easy recovery day here for everyone. Beef roast for dinner later tonight! Mmmmmm! :-)
I spent most of this morning learning how to list stuff for sale on eBay.

I can`t see what possible valid reason for this there could be.
The only thing that comes to mind is a very insecure person that probably lied and stabbed people in the back to get their position so are frightened of the same.
They fear they will be ganged up on. :whatever:

Yeah, well he rules by intimidation. My boss stopped in today to check in on me, and I told her about it. She thinks it's messed up too. I've thought since the day they hired one of the guys that the manager has been looking for a reason to fire him. Now, they'll both probably quit.

I survived another six hours at work. Yay.
There's a new girl there that smiles less than I do. I think I like her. (Where'd I put my little rainy cloud?) :-)

My beautiful daughter got us up around 4:30 AM, so my day (and my wife's, come to think of it) started early. Because we've put off mundane cleaning tasks until now, I cleaned the main bathroom (even the toilet) and vacuumed the floor in the half bath, tehn cleaned that toliet. Also, I got the laundry done, as my wife went grocery shopping and took said daughter with her. I've got one load in the dryer downstairs to get done. I told my wife that, because I enjoy helping her with housework, that she should have no objections to me getting that used Marlin 1895G in .45-70 I have my eye on (that BadCat pretty much convinced me to get). She laughed, but in the back of her mind, she knows I'm serious. :-)

Ditch the Benadryl and try over the counter Zyrtec. They also have it in the "store brands".....If you are congested you can try the Zyrtec-D...I promise that wont make you sleepy....

I have no business to take care of until late Monday afternoon....so this is almost a three day weekend for me.
I mopped my bathroom floor and cleaned the mirrors.

I had a three day weekend last weekend. It was nice. :-)
There's only 3.5 hours until I get to leave here.

Several months ago, I carpeted my bathroom and kitchen. Now my house is wall to wall carpet. I hate cold floors and do not like to wear slippers.
In the planning stages of a month beach vacation in November at Gulf Shores AL. This condo is unique in that the balcony is enclosed with sliding glass doors and is AC/heated. Have to line up the sitter to stay with my dad.

Home from work finally. :cheersmate:
John Barrow, the Democratic representative for this area (12th district) apparently prefers Publix, because he showed up in MY lane this evening, with a canvas bag in tow. I had no idea who he was, until the customer in the lane next to mine told him "it's nice to see our elected officials going green." After he left, I asked the bagger who he was, and he said "That was John Barrow." :o He's quite a gentleman, I have to say, despite his political affiliation.
Shame I can't vote down here, because I would gladly vote for him over his psychotic Dem opponent, Regina Thomas (I keep my address in Atlanta, so I can vote for my Rep, John "FairTax" Linder. ;) )

*swoon!*
:-)
I met a retired State senator (Dem) who had gone into the insurance business -- I was there to install some equipment for him. The man was a people-working machine.

Savannah is heavily Democratic. However, from what I've heard from some Democrat customers who shop there, and some co-workers, they don't like the fact that Barrow has sided with Republicans on several issues, hence the push by Regina Thomas to oust him.

I think the highest-ranking politician I've ever met was our US Senator Johnny Isakson, at a College Republican Leadership conference in Atlanta. He was very friendly, and welcoming. ( Of course, if Georgia Republicans want to get things done in this state, kiss some GACR ass and we'll help you. :innocent: )

My HS friend still has not read or responded to my email. I suppose we'll get together when he has the time.
I like that feature about MS. You can see if people have actually read your messages or not.

Legs up to here.
