Another Republican for Bernie.

As I struggled through this incredibly difficult time, the banks that caused this death-spiral of mine all got big government bailouts. Those bailouts didn't replace my retirement savings. They certainly didn't forgive my mortgage or my car loan -- all I got was a colossally reduced credit score, the lowest score I've ever heard of. The bailouts didn't help ANYONE who took a beating the way I did.

But those bailouts DID help out the bank CEOs. They got enormous bonuses from all that taxpayer money.

Meanwhile, I lived in Germany for three years before I was finally hired back in the States. During that time I saw how Germany's national healthcare works. I saw how free college tuition works. I saw how unemployment security and public pensions and paid sick leave and many of the programs Bernie talks about work under well-regulated capitalism.

Well, you know what? My views changed completely. Winner-takes-it-all capitalism nearly destroyed the world. It's a total failure as it creates too many losers. It's time we change to a system that prevents people from falling into bankruptcy when they have unexpected hospital expenses.

We need Bernie Sanders.

What a crock.

This is obviously another one of these:

Jeb Eddy is an anti-Bush protester from California noted by the media for his "I'm a Republican and ASHAMED of this GOP!" sign. He became an overnight sensation on liberal websites such as Daily Kos and Democratic Underground. However, his claim of being a registered Republican came under doubt when Conservative Underground forum member "Crockspot" uncovered Eddy's ties and donations to the Democratic Party. Going as far back as 1998, well before President Bush took office, Eddy and his wife were found to have consistently donated to the Democratic National Committee and John Kerry. This story exploded when it was picked up by Wizbang! and other conservative blogs and bloggers.

Gawd, I miss Crockspot.

frank beat me to it. This is a repeat - or recycling - of Jeb Eddy's shtick. IIRC, he lives (or lived) in Palo Alto, north of where I live and south of where I work.

Let me count the tell-tales! Guessing at some omitted details, He was probably laid off - assuming he had a job - in late 2008 or early 2009. I was too, but, unlike me, he probably didn't find a job very quickly. Whether for lack of diligence, or lack of similar jobs in his area, I won't speculate. Both are credible.

So, he's got a cash-flow problem - $$ flowing out, but no $$ flowing in, and he dipped into his retirement savings ... to pay his bills ... $$ he legitimately owed/owes. On the other side of his $$-problem coin, he has this car loan and this mortgage. He borrowed the bank's $$, and he has the car and the house (or condo). The bank didn't force him to buy either, yet now that his credit score is in the sewer (and God knows what other complications), he's acting as if they forced him to take their $$, and should not be obligated to pay it off.

I know I could register my long dead cat as an R and she would therefore be an R, and there be RINOs out there, but this dude is a Fauxpublican. Even the RINOs I'm aware of take responsibility for their own lives, for the most part.

So, are DU-folk wetting themselves in their rejoicing at this faux convert to The Personality Cult of Bern?

Now here's my question, and I can never get an answer from liberals on this.

The USA pulls all its military bases from Germany and they are left to defend their own country. Now they have to pay for all their social giveaways AND pay for a sufficient military to defend their own land from, oh, let's say.... Russia!!

Just how's that going to work out for Germany?

Well, in the long run, that could be a good thing (for civilization, probably not for the Germans). Here's how:
1) Germany has to increase military spending, doesn't cut welfare programs.
2) Germany has economic downturn due to increased gov't spending leading to higher taxation.
3) Germany's downturn causes economic collapse of the EU.
4) The EU countries decide to stop letting in Muslim refugees sleeper cells and expel the ones that are currently in their countries.
5) The Islamist horde is driven back by force before they can truly start to launch their attacks.

Would this be fun to live through? Of course not, but it's better than a Caliphate...

Why the hell did he come back here if Germany is such a worker's paradise?  Why don't all our leftists go to these other countries that they are always going on and on about how great they are and then claim dreamer status in their new home.
