But if we enact single payer, your taxes will go up!
All I have to say to that is that anyone who prefers a $900/month "premium" to a $200/month "tax" shouldn't be allowed outside without adult supervision.
Wow. The stupid is strong with that one.

Even if it were that cheap the DUmbasses would still be shrieking that they shouldn`t pay anything.
-
The stupid is very strong in that one.
Single payer will make your taxes go up $1800 or more.

Here is the prime reason we cannot argue with these people. The idea that single payer will lower health care costs is, at best, unproven. But the DUmmies believe. And their beliefs is so strong they are willing to destroy and hobble the health care people have now.
You cannot really argue someone out of a deeply held belief. You cannot even begin a debate because there is no way to start from a common agreed starting point based in reality. They start with "single payer" and never move from it.

Doesn't Venezuela have single payer?
Venezuela is running out of cash and selling its gold
By Patrick Gillespie @CNNMoney
Venezuela is running out of money fast and has started selling its gold.
The cash-strapped country could default by next year when lots of debt payments are due. Venezuela's reserves, which are mostly made up of gold, have fallen sharply this year as the country needs cash to pay off debt and tries to maintain its social welfare programs.
Venezuela owes about $15.8 billion in debt payments between now and the end of 2016.
But it doesn't have enough to make good on its payments. Venezuela only has $15.2 billion in foreign reserves -- the lowest amount since 2003. A lot of those reserves are in gold.
Less than $1 billion of Venezuela's reserves are in cash, and it has a couple billion in reserves at the IMF.
The rest, found on Drudge, is here: http://money.cnn.com/2015/10/29/news/economy/venezuela-selling-gold/index.html

Ah, so the primitive sets up a false scenario where one either pays $10,800 a year in insurance premiums or $2400 a year extra in taxes, and then proclaims those who can't see how much better off they would be "shouldn't be allowed outside without adult supervision."
If a simple $2400 a year was all it took for an individual to put into the insurance pool in order to cover medical expenses, the insurance companies wouldn't be needing $10,800 a year from someone. That individuals now paying $10,800 could suddenly start paying only $2400 and everything still work out OK doesn't add up. Besides, isn't there a law now that if a certain percentage of collected premiums isn't used for medical care, then the portion above that has to be reimbursed to the insured? So given what you claim is all anyone should have to put into the pool per year is only $2400, someone paying $10,800 should be getting back a pretty hefty check, and that's even with all the leeches who are currently contributing $0 into the pool and still getting their medical expenses covered.
FISH.
BARREL.
BOOM!!!
There's other things that also shoot down this primitives worthless example, but this one is enough.
Look eridani primitive, not everyone is as stupid and gullible as you are.

What they aren't saying is that some people will pay way more than the $10,000/year to pay for the leaches that aren't paying.

NO, haven't you heard? Single payer will save families $2500 a year.

Well, we did get this.

17. If taxes are aimed at the 1% as they should be then most wont have to pay much at all.
And this...
FrodosPet
28. Low income would not have to pay, correct?
Are we talking an AVERAGE monthly tax of $200, as a percentage of income over the first $20,000?
So yeah, that libs are the masters of gimme, gimme, gimme is without dispute.

Honestly, lurking Primitives who seem to think Math! is a magical thing that can be miracled by sOcIaLisTs!!!11 to suit your desires, if freaking VERMONT decided it was unworkable, what makes you think it would be any more doable nationwide?
I know what you would like to say tax the rich eLeBiNtY!!111!! Sorry.

And gas taxes will go up. VAT will be added which will cause a corresponding rise in prices. Just like Europe.
Remember dummie... there IS NO FREE LUNCH!

63. No it wouldn't
The problem with the VA is that it is under funded. Medicaid works well.
Centralizing it all would get rid of what works and subject it to the lowest common denominator of service.
Central planning and organization is not a good idea.

66. I can't tell
Are you for or against single payer?
Smartest people on the internet.
The dumb-as-shit SickOfTheOnePct doesn't even know what single payer means. Reminds me of back in Reagan's time when the leftists were all for unilateral disarmament, many not knowing that that means us giving up our weapons without even asking the other guys to give up theirs.

Wow. The stupid is strong with that one.
Well now, surely we're all--or most of us--enured to the primitives enough that we know what's really going on in their heads.
The eridani primitive, who apparently pays insurance premiums, has no intention of paying taxes to support the single payer option.
The primitive's counting on such taxes being progressive, and that he'll fall under the threshold and won't have to pay anything at all.
