Title: Divine Ptarmigans
Post by: Ptarmigan on October 20, 2015, 10:01:51 PM
Ptarmigans are divine in Japan. In Japanese, it is Raicho, which means "thunder bird" or "messenger of god". They are a special monument in Japan.

I just saw the movie "Indestructible".
My attitude toward the Japanese has worsened since then.
And what about the "Divine Wind" ?
Wasn't that what they called the Kamikazes ?

I always thought a "thunder bird" was when you give off a squeaking fart while sitting on one of those folding metal chairs.

One of the guys in the camp told me that he saw two ruffed grouse the day before, but he didn't shoot them--because he didn't have his shotgun at the time. :ohsnap:
