IOW, is he there to hold the interests of the fringe commie kooks that generally vote Dem because "lesser of two evils" viewpoints, and then when Hillary wins he implores and begs his group of nuts to vote for her?
I've read this possibility from several sources over the past few months, and there does seem to be a small amount of validity to it, but I really didn't take it too seriously. But during the Dem debate, he said that the American people are tired of hearing about Hillary's e-mail problem. Besides the point that the statement was a lie, why would he do that? This is a political campaign. You don't help prop up the other candidates. You're trying to win. The strategy is just to say nothing about it and let them sink or swim on their own. If you're not trying to win, why are you running?
Now if you were to ask him, he'd probably give some type of explanation that he wants to defeat her on the issues, not on scandals taking her down. Sounds really statesmanlike on paper, but I don't believe that for a second. Statesmen would conduct themselves like that towards those they agree with as well as those of whom they don't. Does anyone believe if this were the GE and the Republican opponent had some scandal following them around that Bernie would be the same way? Com'n, no way. And Hillary certainly wouldn't have done that to him if the roles were reversed.
The other explanations might be that by drawing attention to saying it's not an issue, you make it an issue. Now maybe people who weren't aware of the scandal will say "What's he talking about?" and investigate. The flip side of that is he's taken a stance that following the law regarding the protection of State secrets isn't all that important to him and he's, once again, given the Clinton's a pass to break the law and not suffer any consequences for it. Or maybe he thinks it's more important to protect the Dem "brand."
So this raised my suspicions about him and his motives. Politically, it just doesn't add up.

Hey, USA, ever listen to Savage? He has said that as well, that Bernie is a shill for Hillary.
When you think about it, it makes sense.
An outright socialist wouldn't win the general election.
Well, in my opinion, most democrats are socialists, but some hide their fringe status.
So Hillary's a progressive, & that makes her more mainstream to liberalism, tho she has steered even more left to appease Bernie's constituents. When the Clintons say so, I'm guessing Bernie will bow out.

We all need to keep in mind that above everything else, Bernie is a professional politician. That means his job is to appease as many people as humanly possible.
To the leftists, including Bernie, any attack on Shrillery is an attack on God Herself. So he quite rightly stomps his foot and cries out that bullshit about her emails, playing right into the leftist POV to "leave Hillery alone!"
This video came along a few years too soon. Bernie looks good as a blonde. :whatever:

I think Sanders wants to win, and he ls hedging his bets for the VP slot if PIAPS is nominated.

Bingo, and it fits in with the classic image of two trial lawyers, one defense and the other plaintiff, who, after the trial, go out to lunch together. It doesn't so much matter who wins the trial, because in the end, they both win.

I can't figure what's up.
A Billary/Bern-out ticket would be funny, especially since the bern-out would have to dial it back quite a bit. I mean, his worshippers all view her as a corporate whore, which I agree they'd overlook with bern-out on the ticket since they'd claim he'd keep her in line. Whatever they have to tell themselves, I guess. But still, what a conflict.
No way the bern would be the Veep should she win and go for a 2nd term. Too old. So what's in it for him? He'd have more power as a Senator, wouldn't he? Unless he has some weird idea he can influence her more as Veep, or he'll be assigned to a "Get Rid of Citizens United" task force, which would also dry up the Clinton Global Initiative ability to fund campaigns, too. So I don't know so much about that happening.
If he drops out after Super Tuesday, that'll tell me one thing. If he takes it all the way to the convention, that'll tell me another. But something's up, because as a politician you don't just hand your political opponent a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card for the fun of it.

Bernie wants to have a guaranteed top flight appointment in the Hitlery administration.
