If your gun is used in a crime, you should be charged with a felony.
It's time to get tough on crime.
This means if you own the gun, you are responsible for the gun.
If you lose the gun or it is stolen:
$1000 = first offense.
$5000 = second offense, lose right to own any firearm. Forever.
If lost/stolen gun is used in crime and not previously reported lost/stolen - you go to jail.
US boy, 11, kills girl, eight, over puppy
Chicago (AFP) - A simple childish spat over a puppy led an 11-year-old boy to shoot and kill his eight-year-old neighbor in the US state of Tennessee, the girl's grieving mother said.
Latasha Dyer said her daughter was playing outside when the boy asked to see her puppy. Little McKayla said "no," and shortly after was shot in the chest.
"When we first moved to White Pine, the little boy was bullying McKayla," Latasha Dyer told WATE 6 news in a video posted on the station's website Sunday.
"He was making fun of her, calling her names, just being mean to her. I had to go the principal about him and he quit for a while and then all of a sudden yesterday he shot her."

Besides doing nothing to stop gang bangers from using guns, this idiot is apparently serious and can't understand why his "sensible" gun regulation is opposed by all the NRA posters who are apparently getting paid to dispute him/her/it (if trans gendered)
-
Whenever you hear a Libtard use the term "sensible" you know that whatever follows is going to be the exact opposite of that.

Apply the same rules to cars, cell phones, computers, and identity documents, DUmmie. How would you like that?

Heh! The gun used in the killing of that lady in SF (by an illegal) was stolen from a federal officer of some sort. The Chief of the UC Berkeley police force had her gun stolen while she was out running. BATF "lost" the hundreds of guns it let "walk" into Mexican gangs' hands.
 Yet another "brilliant" proposal to end-around the 2nd Amendment, conceived in a vacuum of ignorance, that if applied would have consequences the proposer would hate.

Which is what the libtards would want because then it would give them ammo for even more rules, laws and fees. :argh:

Seeing as most of what he is talking about is law in most states.
If you use a firearm in a crime it is a felony. Obviously if you get a felony you lose your guns rights. Also if you used a firearm in most cases you would be charged with a Class A felony where the fines could be up to $50,000 in the State of TN.

What he/she/it is proposing is fining the owner of the firearm if it's lost or stolen, even if it's locked up in a gazillion pound safe that is bolted to the floor. He/she/it wants a felony and loss of ownership, forever, for a second offense. He/she/it wants the felony charge if the stolen gun is used in a crime, even if they're 1000 miles away, on the lawful owner of the gun.

Well luckily there is no way to track that, but yes I obviously disagree he/she/it's proposal.

Now I could be wrong but I bet this was not gun violence but young black male violence.

Hey DUmbkmonkie, if your car is stolen and used in commission of a crime, you go to jail.
Oops

There is an entire sub-thread dedicated to that proposition. The response from the OP writer was cars are not built to kill, gunz are so the comparison is invalid.
That idiot has closed his/her/its ears to logical argument, but, that's why they're (their as dummies would say) DUmmies.

If my gun is stolen, I hope an illegal alien uses it to rob your dumb dumpass. :bird:

Hours after a machine gun was stolen from an ATF agent's vehicle in September, police had four men in custody - one who admitted holding the fully automatic weapon before his friend took it back and stashed it under a bed in a north side house.
But as police and federal agents fanned out searching houses and interviewing family members, friends and girlfriends, the gun vanished.
More than six months later, the rifle and another gun stolen along with it remain missing.

So, you're responsible if someone breaks into your house? Someone is missing some serious gray matter. Obviously from the logic area of the brain.

According to this prog, yes, even if you're 2000 miles away, you get charged with a felony. No wonder the gun control movement makes no progress.
