I thought that gay people were supposed to know a lot about things like dressing up, fashion, style, fine living, and throwing parties and whatnot. That's what the whole idea was behind the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy TV show, right? How does a stylish gay guy not know the difference having a party catered and picking up takeout? Even I know that.

Homophobic Pizzeria Inadvertently Caters a Gay Wedding
The pizzeria in Indiana that made headlines earlier this year for declaring it would never cater a gay wedding has now done exactly that, per a video posted to YouTube.
Memories Pizza in Walkerton, Ind. had the distinction of being Indiana's very first business to deny service to LGBT customers under the state's controversial "religious freedom" law. (Memories' owner admitted he'd clandestinely been refusing to serve gay customers all along, however.) The pizzeria was then trolled by scores of Yelpers and forced to temporarily close due to harassment, but it also had its fair share of supporters: A crowdfunding campaign raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the restaurant.
Now, Memories is finding itself back in the headlines thanks to Illinois resident Robin Trevino. Trevino drove all the way to Indiana to pick up a couple of Memories pizzas, which he stashed in a cooler and brought home; they were then served to guests after a ceremony in which Trevino renewed his vows with his partner Jason Delgatto, says Raw Story.
"Congrats to Memories Pizza for (unknowingly) catering your FIRST GAY WEDDING!" Trevino writes in the YouTube video caption. Go, watch:

Drove something like a hundred miles, went in by himself and picked up two pizzas to go and didn't even tell them he was gay or make any kind of social justice warrior statement.
He sure showed those Memories Pizza homophobes.

8. Why not give your money to people who willingly cater gay weddings?
I've never understood this "nyah nyah nyah, you're going to take my money, you bigoted undeserving asshole!" nonsense.
America isn't going to be brought down any time soon with that kind of attitude.

Nor is there going to be any Fundy backlash for deceiving the owners.
The only real backlash happens when the guests at a gay wedding realize just what they ate.

As others have noted, this isn't catering.
Memories just sold them a couple pizzas, with no way of knowing what they would be used at.
All Trevino did was prove that he's as stupid as he is douchey.

By DUmmie rules, I guess Ben and Jerry or other liberal companies might be catering Christian functions somewhere, huh?

Good point. I believe I'll go to the store, buy some Ben & Jerry's, and serve it to my libertarian, Veteran, meat-eating, gun-toting, cigar-smoking, biker friends.
Take that, DUmmies!

The OP claims, "(Memories' owner admitted he'd clandestinely been refusing to serve gay customers all along, however.)," but doesn't realize that this whole story contradicts the claim? And demonstrates that the "Homophobic" "Memories' owner", contrary to image the activists have tried to create of him, is not scrutinizing/detecting/speculating his customers' sexual preferences?
Some gay activists have low thresholds for amusement. OTOH, I think it salutary for society - just a little bit - that this activist burned his money buying gas, pizza, and ice rather than using it and the time for something(s) worse.

And as Delmar suggested, "catering" an event generally means bring the salads, entrees', sides and desserts for a full meal and serving it at the event. Rather different than 2 or 3 or ?? take-out pizzas.

The best idea I've heard for these businesses (like the bakers) is to put up a sign that states they will make cakes for same sex weddings but all proceeds will go to support Focus on the Family and other traditional marriage groups.

What will? An impotent child, thumbing his nose at decent people, while having done nothing of consequence?
DUmbass Rex, you give that immature deviant far too much credit and the rest of us not nearly enough.

Not to mention the environmental impact of the carbon emissions generated by this SJW....and no one mentioned it. Bunch of earth-hating DUmmies.

What? The puny but self-important impotence of the pizza buyer? The futile impotent railings of DU members against Christians for daring to exist? Don't flatter your self-importance. This "fundie" (I'm not a Fundamentalist, but I doubt many DU-folk know there's a difference between a charismatic and a Fundamentalist) is quite amused and enjoying yet another opportunity to highlight and gently mock Christian-hating Pogs' ignorance of those they blindly hate.

No bushes, no cops, no telling off strangers.
This writer does not know how to write a bouncy.

Why the hell would anyone be pissed off at some idiot who drove all the way from Illinois to Indiana to pick up a couple of pizzas? All that proves is leftists and their pet groups will put their agenda over brains. And DUmmies, it's not catering unless the company drives the damn pizzas there and helps serve them.

Pretty good marketing and advertising strategy, though: "2011 Escalade, 35,000 miles, cold A/C, one owner. Serious inquiries only; no fags."

Seriously ? Somebody wastes a ton of gas to get pizza takeout to prove some sort of point by actually paying money to a business he dislikes ?
Somewhere buried in there is an '80s Yakov Smirnoff "In America.." joke.

Once again enforcing my view that homos, DUchebags, and leftists in general have emotional maturity of a 13 year old girl.

She's only a girl if she wants to be called a girl.

I don't think this is a bouncy. There is none of the overblown, grandiose crap in the story which makes the poster look like some lion of liberalism. It's just the story of a moron who drove God knows how many miles to pay for pizzas from a place he has a problem with even though what that pizza place does or doesn't do affects him in no way.
That however, is the mark of some dipshit who would post on DU...actually I take it back. Any proof he even bought pizzas?
