John Boehner warns of GOP's "false prophets" in D.C.

Days after abruptly announcing that he would resign from the House at the end of October, Speaker John Boehner reflected on some of the "unrealistic" promises made by his colleagues.
"Absolutely they're unrealistic," he said in response to a question from "Face the Nation" moderator John Dickerson.
"The Bible says beware of false prophets. And there are people out there spreading noise about how much can get done," Boehner said.
Bitter are we? :mental:

Ironic he's warning us about false prophets in the GOP. He, and Mitch McConnell and the rest of the establishment Republicans, have been false prophets from the day they assumed the leadership of the GOP in DC.
-
I won't hold it against a conservative that tries to oppose Obama and fails. Boehner and McConnell have never even tried to thwart Obama's wishes.

Exactly right.
No one asked Boehner to accomplish any conservative goals.
They asked him to fight owebuma's agenda.
owebuma might veto bills brought to his desk, but get him on record along with the rest of the dems.

He never checked his mandate. He thought it was to work with 0bama to get things done, not to throw the brakes on. Then again, he was all for the growth of government, he just wanted to be in charge of how the growth went.

Very bitter. And projecting too.
He and Mush Mouth McConnell both promised to do things that Conservatives wanted befrore the last mid-term. Then once they were securely in office again...they did everything they could to further implement the Administration's agenda.
So in reality Boehner was the "false prophet" he's warning others about.

Exactly they went along with OBlamer more then they went against him!

Well, the prophets may or may not be false but I expect old Boner's profits have been real enough. As some wag once said, they should be limited to one 6 year term because they should be able to steal enough in that amount of time.

These two worked to ensure obama got his way

I agree 100%, thundley4, that this duo has never tried to thwart Obama's wishes.
Additionally, I opine that these 2 liberal republicans have embraced progressivism a long time ago. They are in sync with Obama's agenda & support it whole heartedly. Oh, to appease the base, they'll pretend they get it with us conservatives. So, for example, a liberal R will come up with a ploy to make it seem like they're really not for O's policies (eg. Corker). Or, when they're feeling empowered, they'll mock us openly & sarcastically when there's push-back against liberalism. Or they'll pretend to be about small government (eg. repealing Obamacare show).

Plus, their records speak for themselves. They are (2) big government guys, eagerly raising our debt & spending like they don't care if it BK's America. When one examines their salaries, & compares it with their net worth (Boehner $5M; McConnell $17M) ya'll know its business as usual, pay for access with K street. Wonder what went on financially after funding O's executive amnesty.
They clearly represent what's wrong in Washington.

I don't think they wanted to fight. Their Chamber of Commerce and corporate overlords want what the left wants. Maybe for different reasons but they still want them.
Were they principled, the congress would put the dems & 0bama on record. The majority of Americans feel the same about abortion, illegal immigration, 0bamacare, Iran, Russia, the cluster **** in the entire middle east, Keystone Pipeline and fracking, etc. Yes, they'd lose the battle, but they'd win the war. If it were me, I'd rather have the history books remember me as a principled warrior with foresight, than a crying ***** who cowered behind weak excuses.
Seriously, this is our last chance. If we don't gain the WH with a principled conservative willing to fight, I doubt we'll be in power again in a very long time. The left has done a fabulous job of shaming and silencing the majority. Just once before I die, I'd like to have a president with balls, like Dana Loesch.

Bonehead is a false prophets and a legend in his own mind. Tea party conservatives "bad" .....RINO's good. Plus, he is the biggest wuz I have ever seen.

The soundbites I heard on mark Levin's show from Boehner's interview on De-Face The Nation...just reinforced in my mind the fact that this idiot needed to go.
