Look what taking down the WTC did to the economy. Imagine a nuke going off on Wall Street or the surrounding area. Then there's any major city that got hit would also cripple the economy.

However, just a few small nukes detonated in major shipping ports, and we're screwed.

Yeah.  It would only take one successful detonation, not even a totaled city, to plunge us into economic catastrophe.  There would be no certainty that there weren't more out there, and movement including goods distribution would be locked in a police-state grip that would shock Stalin.

Have they even looked at a 1 KT weapon would do to a city the size of Omaha? It s not impossible for even El Guapo to use her lame Google fu to find out.

Those sites are frightening to look at even when you use the smallest yield. Whats worse is of course the biggest one listed would destroy everything in a 20-25 mile radius just from the blast. Just where I happen to live. Living so close to STRATCOM HQ is not fun with Russia having targeted the area for years during the Cold War and probably still does even if they say otherwise.
