Deciding to capitalize on the success of the film, Marvel and Disney are producing a Guardians of the Galaxy cartoon. It will be joining the other Marvel shows (Ultimate Spiderman, Hulk, and Avengers) with the one hour debut on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 9:30 p.m. ET on Disney XD. And what would a Guardians of the Galaxy cartoon be without a proper soundtrack. So, on October 16th, the Cosmic Mix Vol. 1 will be released for sale and it looks to be just as good as the Awesome Mix Vol. 1.

Why they repeated Hooked on a Feeling I don't know....maybe it's Star-Lord's favorite song. The only song I was unfamiliar with was "Funk Funk" by Cameo. Gave it a listen...I'll probably be skipping it when I'm listening to the album. To be honest I would have preferred something from George Clinton's Parliament Funkadelic like "Give Up The Funk".

I have yet to see that movie, and I do want to.
On a scale of 1 to 10 of wanting to see that movie, it's a 6 or 7 with me.

Our cabin had tv so after we schlepped around all day visiting Dubrovnik, Pompeii, etc. my dear progeny insisted that we spend a nice mother-daughter evening watching this movie. As if my enduring 12 hours of hard labor AND an emergency C-section just to bring her into this world wasn't enough pain. :overreaction:
That said, it was a pretty awesome movie, particularly Rocket the raccoon. I don't like alot of what's out there in Hollowwood these days, but sometimes the finished product justifies the advance hype. So my advice is to suck it up and watch the movie, with or without any progeny. :cheersmate:
