The reason that the religious right is so adamant against everything LGBT is that it violates "natural law". The real bottom line on all this kerfuffle about LGBT rights and contraception is that sexual activity is ONLY for procreation religiously speaking.(That is not only demonstrably false, but it obscures what many conservatives believe about the role of the traditional family in society.) If you follow the logic to its very end my OP (Your OPs never have any logic, Bob. They're thinly-veiled cries for help. Not help putting on your pants: help with some emotional scar you bear. I recommend you go talk to someone. A PRIEST, maybe. :rimshot:) is what the whole argument is all about. And the religious will never never relent on that belief.(There may be a sect of lunatics who believe that, Bob, but in reality the Catholic Church has a different view. Roughly speaking, it prescribes healthy monogamous relations under matrimony, with the consequences realized. That's not everyone's cup of tea, and certainly not what I believe was thrust into you :rimshot: as a boy, but whatever.)
Egg and semen are sacred are it is sacrilege to waste it. That is another dogma that comes from the concept of "natural law". And the idea of natural law comes from the Greek philosophical tradition that was adopted by the early Catholic Church. And the fundamentalists essentially carry that same belief.(Sepsis took more than your foot, dude.)
The rest of the dogmatic argument is that all LGBT sex is wrong because same sex partners cannot of themselves conceive a child. So it is forbidden.(No one cares if you people bugger yourselves all day, Bob. Enjoy your day nurse in peace.)
I spent 16 1/2 years in the Catholic school system with enough Catholic theology for numerous lifetimes. The official dogma is that marriage is solely for procreation. And the Church goes even further in saying on the subject of sex in marriage that essentially a couple can engage in sex only when the woman is fertile.(Bob: was your "church" really your basement, and was your pastor really just your Dad in a gimp costume?) Even though such a dictum is not directly said(No, Bob, you said it is written in stone.) it is implied in the dogma around the purpose of marriage. In the end the ONLY way you can control the size of your family is "abstinence" during a period of high fertility. And in a way there is a contradiction in the dogma itself.(What you call a contradiction, I call you being stupid and without an argument.)
I doubt the teaching has changed much from the time of my youth.(In other words, you have no idea whatsoever.) And this aforementioned dogma was just pounded away endlessly.(I'm beginning to think you're right: something was pounded endlessly.) And young Catholics were hounded and intimidated about even having sexual ideas in their head at puberty. It was just as suppressive as radical Islam.

I think he's sustained a level of stupidity that will sustain him through the rest of the year. Just in case, however, there are the debates and the GOP campaign season. Bob can ride that into the top 10, for sure, although I think he has some extremely stiff competition this year.

And it's really an idiotic message.
My husband and I are in our seventies. We are obviously infertile............yet, we still do it. Yes, that.
Sex that the couple enjoys really helps a marriage be a happy one, provided that they still enjoy it.
