Need to vent. Had to take my wife to the hospital Saturday night.
Female issues to the point of her getting dizzy from the bleeding. 2 days past her cycle changing every 40-45 minutes. sometimes double pads on. We are there until 3:30 am( got there at )

They did give her fluids BUT the first IV imploded in her arm. They claim her "levels" were not in danger and they basically sent her home with adult diapers because her bleeding was so extreme saying there was nothing they could do and she just have to let it run its course.

My poor wife is still bleeding heavy she an appointment to see her pcp Thurs, she couldn't get an appointment with a specialist until the 10th.

Is women's healthcare really this bad in this country?

I get embarrassed talking or listening about these issues (I am sure most men do) But I am piss watching my wife so tired and using adult dippers at night because there isn't a pill or even a shot to give her to stop this even temporary.

What the ginger with no sack is trying to say is simple, and even human: he's scared because his wife is sick. He wants help for her. Completely understandable. But he's a LIBERAL, so... (http://www.democraticunderground.com/1018794368)

...he has to open his cakehole about the whole system when they can't fix his wife immediately, to his satisfaction.  There is a difference between bad care and your wife being essentially stable, dipshit.

Diabeticman, if you guys were in France, someone would say this to you in broken English, having translated from the doctor:

"Mr. Diabeticman, we have done all we can. Your wife is stable. As for the bleeding, well, look at the woman. Let me put it to you this way: My 1989 Mercedes takes 7 liters of oil, more than the usual 5. Similarly, your wife, being a giant woman, has some blood to spare. Go home. Oh, and get some sun and a meal, boy: you look like Ronald McDonald's used Q-Tip.

I don't see anything exceptional in the treatment or appointment times - certainly nothing with a male vs. female treatment difference. He didn't say anything to the effect, "maybe earlier if there's a cancellation," so either he didn't think of asking to be notified of such by the docs' offices or he did, but left that part out for dramatic effect. We've gotten in earlier than expected due to cancellations quite often, so that is a significant omission, whether intentional or unintentional.

Government, private insurance companies, and malpractice lawyers have been working steadily for 3 or 4 decades to drive the "excess" profits out of medicine - doctors, hospitals, drug companies. The consequences have been longer waits to get appointments, briefer, more rushed, office visits, and fewer doctors & hospitals. While private insurance companies are Libs' and Progs' bogeymen, they've been doing to care providers what government has been doing (except government has also forced hospitals and staff doctors to give "free" care to indigent patients). And I'm sure most Libs' and Progs' attitudes toward malpractice lawyers is, "Go get 'em!" (unless a family member or friend is a doctor who has been burned by a frivolous malpractice suit).

Welcome to the Brave New Medical World you've helped create and cheered on during its creation, "Star Member diabeticman"; ObamaCare is going to continue making it worse.

The ER obviously didn't regard it as an emergent situation.  Trust you betters, D-bagman, isn't that what you tell everyone else on every issue involving the government?

The DUmmy thinks there is some secret treatment accessible only by rich people that would cure his wife's malady immediately, or that this treatment grows on trees in places with single-payer. Sometimes stuff sucks. You'd think a guy like him would already know that, but I guess his wife hasn't allowed him to have insights yet.

I get it, d-bag. You are worried about the Inflatable Wife. But they did all they could- a vinyl patch and a can of Fix-A-Flat will take care of that leak. The adult diapers are so you will stop re-opening the hole before the Fix-A-Flat sets.

Get the sand out of your vagina, d-bag. You didn't exactly tell the whole story, did you? When you said 'her levels were normal', what you really meant was, 'the pregnancy test was negative, so she wasn't having a miscarriage. The CBC was normal, so she doesn't have a uterine abscess or ruptured ovarian cyst, and her red blood count shows that she has not lost 'a lot' of blood. The doctor decided that she could safely go home and follow up with her OB-GYN. I just don't like the diaper business, because I wear the diapers in this family.'

Right?

Oh, hell. Now you've done it; told them about  the secret treatment. Now they'll all want it!

Not sure what the problem might be, but having seen their photos I doubt it resulted from rough sex.

How is that hooey chantey thing working out for our Country.
Not too well from what I can see.
And that's an understatement of the first order.

You can tell them about the secret treatment all you want. You just can't get it without the double-secret decoder ring.

They've cured everything!  Just a wee problem with toilet paper and food on the shelves.
