1988 was the last time a Republican legitimately won the Presidency.

Gore won the general and we know in a recount would have taken Florida.
I think there is a lot of evidence to show GWB stole the election in '04.
Just accept that for arguments sake.

That means Bush I was the last GOP to win the White House. Almost 30 years of Dems winning.

1. there is no question about it. In 2004, what happened in Ohio was remarkable

Either way, you are right.

"Truth is all" claims (I think) no Republican has legitimately won since Eisenhower.

With that TIA nut, it probably goes back to Lincoln. And even then Lincoln was questionable.

That's what I thought, too.

I guess it's kind of hard to claim voter fraud when you come a few thousand votes shy of a 50 state sweep.

There were a few recounts. Uber liberal publications recounted the votes, most using the loosest possible rules for "is that a chad?" They actually found more votes for Bush when they did. News channels covering the election called Florida before the polls were closed in heavily Republican areas where many, many people hadn't had a chance to vote (Republicans work for a living). But the truth is like a bucket of water to the Wicked Witch of the West.

Exactly correct. In an attempt to give the state to Gore, the media called the state for Gore before the panhandle, which is very conservative, had a chance to vote. (The panhandle is on central time, not eastern). It must have caused them great joy to have shut off that conservative vote, only to find out their ploy didn't work.

They also conveniently forget all the recounts the state itself did.  So many in fact that the USSC had to finally step in and say "enough is enough" to get them to stop tampering with the damn ballots.

It's amazing how they change history around to fit their ideals.

1964 was the last legitimate democrat "win" of the presidency.......and that was a pity vote.  Before that it was 1948, and once again, that was a pity vote.  And don't tell me 1976.  If Crummy Carter had been running against anyone but Ford, he would have been laughed out of the race.

"We did exit polling at the DNC campaign headquarters and we didn't find 1 person who had voted for a Republican. Thus, proving the GOP stole the election."
