A rightwinger through a video on a rightwing show is claiming
Planned Parenthood harvested a still beating heart. What's the best way to shut down such an fabrication explanation wise?
dhol82 (396 posts)
1. Unfortunately
they can say that because the heart starts beating at around 6 weeks gestation.

It might just be a microscopic dot but it's beating away.
Propaganda is all in the framing.

6. And do what with it, exactly?
It's unsuitable for anything but tissue culturing and even that would be a challenge.
Right wingers never answer any of the important questions and they lie about everything else, especially the antiabortion nuts.
It wasn't a 6 week old heart you ****ing skrag; it's third trimester and it's more suitable for ANYTHING than you will ever be.

2. You can't reason someone OUT OF a position that they didn't reason themselves INTO.
Said the ghoul who will never watch the video but will regurgitate every line fed to it by the non-reproducing dykes and fags on MSNBC.

Planned BlackGenocide harvested the brain of a baby while the heart was still beating. http://thefederalist.com/2015/08/19/new-video-planned-parenthood-harvested-brain-of-live-baby/
Sounds like murder to me.

10. An impossible task.
The only way is to relocate these asylum Napoleons to locked quarters, which is both extremely expensive and strategically daunting.
Not to mention the ventilation of your upper torso, dickhead.
Come see me, sometime. Bring friends.

What's good for the goose and all. If a person is going to make outrageous, inflammatory claims to make a completely false point, return the favor. That person should appreciate it, since it's just a painful example of do unto others.
Huh?!?!?
Not content to be a Nazi, 8 track lover simply refuses to acknowledge evidence:

The proper response is "That which has been asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.: Perhaps my favorite Hitchens quote.

Ending a sentence with a preposition is an example of this character's "reasoning"?
I don't know every Pro-Lifer in the world - or even the US - so I won't presume to speak for or of all Pro-Lifers. This character should be so honest!
Speaking for myself, back in the mid-70s, when I was undecided about abortion, I used my reason to come to my position. I asked myself, what is aborted. My thinking was that if the fetus is not alive or is not human, then abortion could be permissible. It didn't take long, once I framed the key question. I quickly realized:
* The fetus is alive, as evidenced by growth;
* The fetus is human (and not part of the woman), as evidenced by his/her chromosomes;
* The fetus is simply an arbitrarily named stage in a "program" of growth that, if uninterrupted, is continuous from fertilization of the egg through death in old age.
Thus, I reasoned myself into the Pro-Life POV. That reasoning also answers rather easily the supposedly tough cases of incest, rape, or genetic defects. The baby is still human.

The same could be said about you, hag.

It's such a ridiculous stance. The pro-life stance IS the stance come to by reason. Pro-choice simply oozes hyper-emotion.

I wish Buzzy was here so I can ask him how all his fellow DUmmy colleagues can be such despicable people and are able to live with their deplorable selves.

The clicking buzzard bait won't be coming back. Since he/she/it shot off his/her/its mouth about us here, at CC, not caring for the beggars at the DUmp when in truth he/she/it never once cracked his/her/its wallet to help any of them, or to even give the moth living in the wallet some fresh air.
At least I for one have been lying in wait for the punk-assed hypocrite to come around so its ass can cover the checks its pie hole has been writing.

I also was marginally pro-abort, even with my Catholic upbringing, until sometime in the early 80s (can't remember if I was still in HS or had gone onto college by then). I reasoned that taking the life of a defenseless human, who had done nothing to deserve death (except by 'being inconvenient' to its' parents) was 'playing God.' We, as humans created by God, cannot do things reserved to the Almighty. Therefore, logically, the only position that I could take was pro-life.
Hence, a conservative evolution on abortion.
It helps that I'm not atheist. :whistling:

Return the favor? You mean like false claims of widespread rape on college campi across the U.S.?

Claim they were all made by the same company that faked the moon landings..... :-)

I'm a few years older than you (not that age matters in reasoning this). My upbringing was Lutheran, and NOT the Lutheran body of which George Tiller was welcomed a part! The Ten Commandments were and are foundational in my reasoning, in particular the commandments forbidding murder and having other gods (e.g., not the state and not me). "Playing God" - whether the state or an individual - violates that First Commandment (first ordinally, and first as the foundation for the commandments that followed - i.e. as Creator, God has the authority and right to state that things are right and wrong).

What's above is pretty much the whole thread. Didn't gain traction.
"That which has been asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.
It's on an actual videotape. They cut into a baby's face to get the brain, and said "this is cool." The baby was alive.
I don't understand how the DUmmies can look at a thing, then call that thing an outrageous fabrication.

This provides my answer to last week's question of, "which DUmmy would you like to meet in person?" My answer is that I would like to meet any and all smug DUmmies who delight in fabricating fatuous excuses for murder, so that I may do them bodily harm. And yes, I mean it, and yes, I would, and yes, I can, and if I needed to urinate, I would then gladly urinate on their writhing bodies.
