It is hot all over the South West
the words HEAT WAVE finally escaped the mounths of news models on TV. You know what did not escape their lips? How much more frequent these events are becoming.
No, no, we have to emphasize this... an individual weather event is not climate change... but them being more frequent and more dramatic is. The President casually mentioned the other day that we are having more wild fires in the West... yup, you bet we are.
Scanners are on... so far this wave, we have had just far more medical calls related to the heat, and a couple rescues. Really, no major fires, and for that... I am actually grateful.

6. Big high pressure over Texas backed into the southwest starting a week ago Friday
and killed off the monsoons as well as making it hotter than the hinges on the doors to hell.
The past week has been truly awful in NM. We're supposed to get a front through here on Tuesday night, I'll believe it when I see it. Until then, we're in the 98-101 range, which is damned hot for this time of year.
I hate this weather.
Who will rid me of this meddlesome hot weather in August?

10. Indeed it is.
I'm working a minimum wage, 30 hour a week job and don't know how I'm going to keep the AC running.
I took the last few dollars I had set aside for property tax to pay the electric bill.
Texas would be the place for individual solar panels, but our government wants to forbid it.
DUmpathon alert!!! Look for a GoFraudMe page from this DUmpmonkie soon.

11. The NW is on fire.
Montana gov. declared state of emergency for northern Rockies counties (including Glacier NP for over two weeks now) where the fires are. Here in my neck of the woods we have been under an air quality alert for days due to heavy smoke and particulate matter from all those fires west of here and it's much worse in the NW corner of the state. Many of us have sore throats and feel like we've suddenly become chain smokers... nasty stuff. Every sunrise is dark orange as is every sunset. When we have rain it comes with bad lightning that starts more fires and the smoke returns in a couple hours or less.
We have been experiencing extreme high daily temps (for this area at 7K ft 80s + is too hot) followed by a couple days of cool weather with near frost conditions at night never consistent in the summer anymore. Wonder if we'll have snow this winter... haven't had much the past few years, normal is about 23 or more feet over the entire winter, last couple years it's been about 15-18ft if that.
cough, cough.

13. I do it rather often anyway
since up here, if you aren't on the highway or in town, you're on dirt road, which is most everywhere. I change that with every oil change just because. But thanks for the reminder, I have to service my ride next week after I make a quick run to the city... about 350 miles round

14. Good point
when we go cover a MAJOR wildfire, I just change the filter afterwards.
I do notice the performance hit after I spend a few days in the dirt and smoke.

17. I feel sorry for y'all.
Here in Flagstaff, daytime temps are in the low 80's and nighttime is mid to high 50's.
Stay cool and well hydrated.

and thankfully we have AC
On the down side, I am not looking forwards to the electric bill
Keep those filters changed, kiddies.

Heat waves happen every summer. Sometimes two or three of them. That's why they call it summer.
This winter we will have severe cold snaps too.

Unless nadin says it is.

Unless nadin says it is.
One of Nadin's farts would require more air filter changes than the entire Black Forest burning down.

Weather is never climate until it needs to be.
Btw,it past the middle of August, how many hurricanes have we had so far?
Oh yeah, exactly none, yet just a few short years ago it was declared inevitable we would have more and stronger.
Just a matter of time,if not already, they will blame the lack of them on gloBULL warming and how bad that actually is for some convoluted and conjured up bullshit reasoning.

2 days ago, it was 90 in the shade and comfortable. Today when it hit 90 in the shade, it was hotter than hell and I was sweating my butt off. Humidity makes a whale of a difference.

Have you tried changing the air filter on your car? That might help.

Astounding! Who would have thought it gets hot in the summer?

My car thermometer read 102 today. The high was 86.
That'll happen if you park in the sun in AUGUST. I once was idling at a car wash, awaiting my turn in Kansas City during a JANUARY. Outside Temp was, like, ZERO degrees. Truck's thermometer read almost 100 degrees from the hot water steam escaping the bay.
Stoopid DUmmies. Except gNads. She just can't help herself.

You live in the desert.
Actually, the troll lives in San Diego, where it's pretty much a consensus that they have the best year-round weather of any city in the country. How's that "heat wave" really working for you, Nads?

Sometimes it's Chicken Little saying the sky is falling. Sometimes it's the egg.
Heh.
I can't stand hearing the zombies for owebuma complaining that their lives are anything less than perfect.
He promised to still the waters, make the oceans recede, and heal the planet.
How is it there is anything out of sorts with their messiah in charge ?
I'm not buying it.

Probably her addled submarine rider, but since it's nadin, it could be the royal "we".

That's not being very environmentally friendly of you nads. Perhaps you should consider a reusable air filter like a K&N or Airaid that you wash with water and reuse. Keeps your dirty old air filters out of the landfills and gives your good rig a boost in performance and gas mileage.

Nope - Only heat waves matter - because those are sure signs of Climate Change. Cold snaps are simply weather and should be ignored.
-
Looking at some of her other posts, I see that she has recently learned the words "trope" and "nihilism" and is using them every chance she gets.
-
Why can't there be heat snaps and cold waves?
I demand equality!
My mole should troll teh gNads, and ask the ex pert.
Is Automotive Induction ex pert in her resume?

you can thank obama for that DUmmy.

So, Nadin is now the automobile expert. Jiminy Cricket!
Why yes, she is.
She can detect a performance change in her car after driving through a smoky area.
She can feel the effect of a dirty hubcap, or a misaligned license plate.
She is an automotive genius.

High here today, August 19th: 68 degrees with northerly strong winds. And I'm just in the Midwest, not Canada.
Yet, somehow this must be related to "climate change".

Not to worry, DUmmie. Come winter, you will be begging for a heat wave while you're freezing your ass off because you can't afford to pay for heat.
Thanks to your savior Barry and his EPA, BTW

I've been hanging around this old world for over 50 years, and I've noticed that August is usually pretty darn hot, while February is usually pretty darn cold. I don't have much of a memory, but I guess mine works a lot better than a lot of the DUmp.

I'm in central Illinois and I don't think we've hit 100 yet this year. It's not even supposed to hit 80 tomorrow.

Here in upstate NY, we've hit 90 a couple of times. People freak out when that happens. ::) :whatever:

thats because you don't have a glowbull warming/climate change/anti-capitalism agenda to push like obama and his followers do.
