I just ordered a burger in. Decided I didn't want it. Gave the meat to my cats. The cats refused to
eat it. What exactly do they make burgers out of these days?

So my experience supports what you saw. There is something wrong with meat in the food supply.

6. My dogs won't touch any of the store bought, preservative laden treats, which they are only exposed
to around the holidays when given as gifts.
I tell the bearer of the gifts, "they won't eat them" and demonstrate. I bake dog treats about every 4 weeks for them (makes a huge batch).
That said Riley, my Siberian is pestering now as he knows it is "treat time". This months flavor is bacon! Gotta go.

...loves arugula and spinach. Snarfs it down as if it were tuna. (And yes, I have checked and determined that small amounts are safe.)

12. Yep i remember my kitty who was crazy for canned asparagus.
He was just demanding i give him some and i was trying to tell him, yes you heard a can, but its not catfood... But i gave him some and he was like eating manna from heaven.

The OP primitive just wanted to brag about it's extravagant lifestyle that affords it the luxury of having a hamburger delivered.

How rude is that? To dis a gift someone thoughtfully brought your dog? Why not just say "thank you so much, he'll enjoy them later" put them away and say nothing?
The rest of the thread of bragging about how their animals love vegetables reminds me of that time a DUmmie tried to turn his/her dog into a vegetarian. DUmmie probably ended up as a midnight snack.

It just occurred to me after posting the above that I should have taken into account the demented recipes the primitives have shared so is a fair conclusion that no normal living creature would touch such revolting glop.

Oreo will eat chicken in a spiedie sauce. All she cares about is the meat. I'm going to test her reaction to venison soon.

Either that is one spoiled cat, who only dines on "Fancy Feast" and boiled chicken breast, or the burger was one of those faux meat tofu alfalfa soybean sprout lintel piece of cardboard ones, that taste so bad, you'd rather eat the box it came in.
