A 62-year-old African American man with a gun in both hands began firing at people in Cincinnati, Ohio, including a 1-year-old child. But another man with a concealed carry permit stopped the attack by shooting the crazed gunman.
THIS is why concealed carry is a good idea, folks.
A 62-year-old man with a gun in each hand fired at four people – including a 1-year-old boy – before a civilian with a concealed carry permit returned fire and wounded the shooter, cops told FOX19.
Thomas McCary is being held without bond on four counts of felonious assault.
McCary was arguing with a woman around 8 p.m. Sunday night and, when the woman’s brother, Patrick Ewing, approached, McCary pulled out a .38-caliber handgun and fired three shots at him, Cincinnati police said.
Ewing didn’t get hit, but he did get his own gun and returned fire, wounding McCary in the leg. Ewing had a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

WTF? Why not attempted murder?

I am not crazy about the way they wrote this article...but the main issue is a man with a ccp stopped a criminal with a weapon intent on hurting or killing another human being.

You know we can't treat criminals like they are actually criminal...it might hurt there feelings or they might feel like we violated there rights or some nonsense.

It's possible that Ohio, like Kansas, doesn't have a statute of 'attempted murder'. Here, it is called 'aggravated assault', and some states have 'assault with a deadly weapon'. There is no necessity to prove the intent of the assailant was to cause the death of the victim.
I'm not in the mood to look it up right now.
