Palestinian Attacker Shot Dead Before Obama's Visit

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - A Palestinian rammed a bulldozer into vehicles on a busy Jerusalem street on Tuesday, ahead of a visit by U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, and wounded 16 people before being shot dead.
The attack, just down the road from the hotel where Obama was to stay, was the second such incident in Jewish west Jerusalem in three weeks.
It occurred while Israeli President Shimon Peres hosted Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at his official residence less than a kilometer (half-mile) away.
Israeli officials said the driver was a Palestinian from a village in an area of the occupied West Bank that Israel considers part of Jerusalem. Its residents have freedom of movement throughout the city and Israel.
"The bulldozer driver left a construction site, and hit two cars," a police spokesman said. "A civilian who saw what was happening, shot him. The bulldozer continued on its way. A border police patrol ... continued to shoot and the terrorist was killed."

As a side thought, I was reminded listening to Glenn Beck yesterday that in the world of Islam, some infidels are worse than others. Below Christians, below even the hated Jews in Islam, is the degree of infidel reserved for the MUSLIM APOSTATE (Before somebody gets their panties in a wad, let me issue the standard disclaimer - BoÑдt Osama is not a muslim. He's spent the last 20 years as a faithful member of the Rev. Wright's "Church" - for what that's worth, but it's worth at least that he is not a muslim.) One of the nasty little caveats - at odds with the mindset of the western world - is that the sin of Apostasy does not stop with the actual sinner who commits the act, but continues on to every child and subsequent generation that does not embrace Islam. BoÑдt Osama is not a muslim gone apostate either, but his father is. In the eyes of the "Muslim Street", that means that he is as well, whether he actually made the choice himself or not.
Given that one of the key hot-spots of the world is dominated by muslim - and largly "radical" muslim - theocracy, can we as a nation afford to have as our commander in chief, someone for whom anyone who takes his religion seriously over there is commanded to have NO RESPECT FOR; indeed they are commanded to kill him if they have the chance?
