The building where I work is rat-infested.
They routinely climb out of the toilets in the women's restroom. My computer software is so old, it is not even mouse-driven. It is still operating on function keys. The Chinese stole my birthday, my name, my social security number, and even my fingerprints. I was supposed to get a letter telling me what to do by June 28th. It is now July 20th and I have not received anything. Everyone I work with has advanced degrees in a hard science, yet we are called stupid and lazy. I see colleagues berated on TV by Congressmen for enforcing the laws that the Congressmen passed. It is insane. Mitch McConnell wants to use my private 401K to fund his highway bill. My private counterparts make about 40% more than me. Congress passed a law years ago that told the President to rectify the situation. Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barrack Obama have ignored that law - - and no one does anything about it.
I am a Federal Employee and I have come to believe that if Bush or Walker get in and fire me, it might really be for the best. The only reason I stick around is that I am proud to serve my country and I would feel horrible letting down the people I work with every day.

The primitive should take that private sector job for 40% more pay and quit bitching. But then the primitive might have to work, might be held accountable for results, might get fired, might not get to sit around and watch internet porn or sleep all day.

Probably enforces regulations, not actual laws.
On second thought, probably a lie from start to finish.

Yeah cuz a government job with union wages and benefits that pays 3 times what you're worth and 2 times more than the people paying your salary is such ****ing hard time! And there's no way you have computers that old. Even the military, who does more and serves more genuinely than you ever will (with a salary BELOW the private sector) doesn't even have computers that old and they're low man (oh, sorry, low persons) on the totem pole.

At least it would have a useful purpose. Dem congress critters want to use my 401k to fund idiots that are too stupid to save for their retirement.
BTW dummie...
What is the Thrift Savings Plan for Federal Employees?
The Thrift Savings Plan, or TSP, Is a 401(k) Equivalent for Federal Employees
By David Fisher
(LifeWire) - The thrift savings plan for federal employees is the equivalent of a 401(k) plan for these workers.
Like a 401(k) plan -- one of the most popular retirement plans in the private sector -- federal employees and members of the military can contribute up to $15,500 in tax-deferred income to their plans in 2008 or up to $20,500 if they are 50 or over. In 2009, those limits are $16,500 or $22,000 for the 50-and-over set.
As in a 401(k), contributions grow tax-free until they are withdrawn in retirement. There's a 10% penalty for money withdrawn before age 59 1/2, with a few exceptions. Mandatory annual withdrawals begin at age 70 1/2.
Federal Employees Retirement System
In addition to the TSP, which depends on employee contributions for its final results, almost all federal employees are covered by a traditional pension plan, which guarantees certain payments in retirement based on years of service and salary.
Employees hired on or after Jan. 1, 1984, generally are covered by the federal employee retirement system. The hiring agency contributes 1% of salary per year to each of those employee's TSP programs, whether or not the employee contributes. The agency will also match up to 5% of each employee's salary if he or she opts to contribute up to that level.
