* UNTIL 500 PM PDT
* AT 155 PM PDT…DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING
HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. UP TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAVE
ALREADY FALLEN. FLASH FLOODING WILL LIKELY BEGIN SHORTLY. THESE
THUNDERSTORM CELLS WERE NEARLY STATIONARY.
* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL LIKELY EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE…

It's called rain. That's it. It's RAINED a little. Stop trying to make it into a deluge. This rain, while it may have sucked for a few people, has been a tremendous boon to the environment.

my fear is a fire. The way traffic is right now, no way we can get there.
Yes, Nadin. Our worst nightmare right now is a fire that burns uncontrollably because IT'S RAINING SO HARD WE CAN'T GET TO IT.
My God...can you imagine the damage a runaway fire would do that we can't even attempt to contain because IT'S RAINING SO HARD WE CAN'T GET TO IT?
Such a fire, unabated by the water we'd apply to it...the damage boggles my mind.
I pray that it never rains so hard that a fire breaks out that we can't get to TO APPLY WATER.

Well I'm currently in Riverside county which just had a runaway fire and rain in the past couple of days. All is well, sunny and mid eighties.

It rained for 27 straight days in Dallas in May. Suffice it to say, the drought is officially over, but they still run PSAs about water conservation.
We still get almost daily Flood Alerts from the USGS.
