Looking for a liberal bastion to move to

I'm 35 years old, married, and have 2 young children - aged 4 and 6. I received word yesterday that I've been approved for Social Security Disability. In the last couple of months I've also received approvals for disability programs from the Department of Veterans Affairs and my former employer. So, all said and done, I'm going to be making more on disability for the rest of my life than I was working as a GS-12 Chemist for the federal government.

I currently live in an extremely expensive part of the country (I'm just outside of NYC). I'll have no problems maintaining my current standard of living, but my income is the same regardless of where I live, but if I can find a perfect place to live that is a little cheaper I'll be able to really live life and have plenty of extra income to do whatever I want to.

The only problem is that it seems all of the best liberal bastions in the north-east are in areas that are much colder than I would like to live. Ithaca, NY is about as far north (I.e cold) as we'd like to tolerate. Burlington, VT would be perfect but it really is too cold for my wife there.

What my wife and I would really like is a place that around 20,000-ish people were the people are friendly, the public schools are good, typically isn't one of the coldest spots in the U.S., very liberal and vegetarian friendly, and where you can spend less than $275,000 for a 4 bedroom and 1900+ SQFT on at least an half acre or more of land.

Any ideas where we could find a spot like this that is in the north east preferably between Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York?

Just how much is this bum getting from all these federal programs?

21. In my state (Michigan), I would recommend Ann Arbor.

Very liberal, culturally diverse, a lot of parks/recreational opportunities, veg friendly, good public transportation, university town, etc.

It is bigger and colder than what you are looking for, though.

I recommend the liberal bastion of Detroit.  It's my understanding that there's lots of affordable housing there.

Stupid DUmmie just described most small cities and towns that lean conservative, not liberal.

I suggest Cuba. They got free health care and jobs for all, dummie. It would be a win for you.

Okay, folks, seriously.

We know what's really going on here.

The Victor primitive has no intention of moving, even though yes, it is expensive to live where he does.

But he's not gonna move.

The Victor primitive just wants to brag to the other primitives that he's got all this unearned money coming in.

I suspect it's a lot more than just the Big Guy (who is dying).

This DUmmy is describing every democrat's dream: Full disability for life, while still young and healthy, with a nice family.

The entire DUmp is at the verge of apoplexy, but their pain is probably mitigated a little by their knowledge that DUmmies lie, all the time.

GS 12 base pay is $61,486.  I reckon he's probably a Step 3, so say $65,586.  You get 40% of your base pay if you go out on medical disability, so $26,234.  You can keep your health insurance and have the premiums taken out of your pay, so with a family and BCBS Fed about $420 a month for a family.  Brings his take home to $1766 a month which is subject to taxes.

He say "disability programs from the VA" so is he a veteran?  Otherwise, the disability I've described is the only program the VA offers.  Plus, the SSI may very well be reduced due to his medical retirement from federal service under the Offset.

He's going to buy a 274k house?  I guess the wife will be carrying him the rest of his life.  Or the DUmmie is lying.

I would have to say, "yes" to both.

Democrat politicians for the most part are cheap but democrat votes are expensive.

I hope he keeps his freeloading, vegetarian, liberal ass north of the Mason/Dixon line.

The moron's only option is to go to Burlington, Vt. and deal with the cold. - He can't afford to go to anywhere else 'liberal' that meets the rest of his requirements.  But I don't think he actually intends to go anywhere.

Victor c3 lives in the NY locality pay scale area.  Much higher than base.  There the GS12 pay rates are 79,145  81,784  84,422  87,061  89,700  92,339  94,977  97,616  100,255 102,894

I think this is why he wants to stay in the NE

Not sure if he's a 47%'er....especially with this statement:

Sounds to me like a trust fund baby who is trying to escape the policies of the Libtard politicans he helped to elect.

I hear that its pretty inexpensive to live in Chernobyl.

And it will be for the next 10,000 years, too.
