vignette (Not sure how this is a vignette, but OK)

Today I want to pay tribute to all in the helping professions: therapists, counselors, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and others I'm forgetting. One of you saved my life, I'm convinced, when I was much younger.

I'd go into detail, but because of the sociopaths on the internet and some nasty people here on DU, I will not. Anyway, thank you again to all who labor so tirelessly for not enough pay and benefits and with people's most intimate struggles. Thank you, all of you, from the bottom of my heart.

Steve

I assume you're talking at least in part about CC, Steve, in which case, thanks and right back at ya. (http://www.democraticunderground.com/11515843)

Most people dealing with mental illness avoid at least one of two things: they don't blather on about it on the open internet, and they almost certainly don't do it on a website devoted the hurling invective at people with different politics. Oh, like this gem:

My governor is Rick Rat Bastard Criminal Scott. Don't tell me I deserve to suffer....
I DIDN'T VOTE FOR THE ASSHOLE, and neither did other Democrats and some independents and maybe some Republicans(?).

If you disagree with me, I have no words. **** that concept of ALL of us suffering. The Scott voters can all go move to some freaking island called Floridasomalia.

I feel your pain, Red-governor states' Democrats.

Maybe you'd get mocked less if you were less of a public asshole? Just a thought.

Poor, perpetually-erect DUmmy stevenumbers has never been the same since his catastrophic dating stories.

His failures with women, which he described in excruciating, hilarious detail were some of the funniest stories the DUmp has produced.

He asked the DUmpmonkeys how he should pursue one woman who refused to kiss him due to a cold sore.

He kept up the entertainment for a few months, through two or three failed one-sided romances, before he realized what a laughingstock he had become.

He's as simple and dumb as the legendary LocoNuts, but he hates being laughed at.

So, If I didn't vote for Obama, any laws he signed I don't have to suffer under....Thanks, that explains everything.

Has anybody besides me noticed the absence of the Top DUmmie of 2014 from the mental health forum lately?

Big Mo's letting us down; she knows we count on her for good material.

Stevo, I didn't vote for Gray Davis, Jerry Brown, or Obama, yet for all the destruction they've inflicted on CA and the US, I feel no need to spew invective toward them and theirs as you do. Stevo, you need to march over to your therapist's (s'?) office(s) and demand a full refund. I'm confident you have the vocabulary to make clear the justification for your demand.
