I know some people have asked for help here before.....
and about 2 years ago. when I was able, I helped a DUer and I got taken for a ride....
and now I need help
I am 73 years old and disabled ... I am out of propane and I have no hot water..... what i need is $269.00 to get propane and get the hot water tank lighted again as well as the furnace. If you can help this old soul, the help will be appreciated. If you can help, send me a DU mail.....I have a paypal account so any pennies can go into that account...and I would thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I know how humiliating it is to ask for help when you're poor and desperate. With what I've been going through more than ever before it crushes me that I can't help anyone any more than I can my own self.
I so hope that you'll get the help you need and quickly. I'm just so sorry that I have nothing at all to help since I just have nothing at all, and in only a few days nothing but the shirt on my back. I don't even think I'll be able to be here even in my last few days that I still have a computer to even help to just kick your thread. I'll try though. But I hope I won't even have to because you'll have already gotten the help you need by then and some extra so you'll have something to use for something else or just to keep by in case you need it for something that may come up.
Know that my heart is fully in your corner. Bless you.

If they don't want free furnished apartments in Tucson, they should consider moving in together.
Pam Dawson claims her little starter ranch is a five-story manse that can sleep fifty, and it's centrally located on the north side of Wichita.
This old cold codger, along with Torchy, UGP, stewert, Paper Roses, and the other broke DUmmies could move in with Pam and Mark and pool their government checks.
It would be the socialist thing to do, and the entertainment value of all that crazy under one roof would be extraordinary.

Please Help me...
I am re-posting this, because I've had over 300 views and no one has offered to help (indeed, I know we're all struggling!):
Yes, I need help. It is embarrassing and uncomfortable to say so, let alone to ASK for help. However, I HAVE to pay my rent. AND, my electric bill. AND, my car insurance. Also, I need new tires on my car. The tires I have are over three years old, and are going bald.
I do have a job, which I'm finding quite fulfilling. I am a non-medical caregiver for the elderly. I finally have enough hours to make my expenses, but I did not have sufficient hours for the first month I was employed.
Please, please help me. I don't want to lose my little country rent house. (Actually, I don't want to be homeless as I turn 60.)
I will appreciate any assistance, but I need at least $450 total. If you can help with my tires, that will require another $400.
Please, please, help me. I am very scared, and I need help to get over this hurdle. I now have sufficient hours to take care of myself, if you can just help me now.

Me too... except dummies lie. Dummies lie all the time.
Perhaps the old soul should contact one of his local churches. I'm betting that if his story is true, a local church probably knows someone that owns a place that fills propane tanks and would do it. If for nothing else probably do it for the tax write off.

I'll tell you what I struggle with: these are the same assholes who ranted and raved and cracked wise about wealthy Republicans, when their very own Cankles has a "foundation" which, to my knowledge, has only aided in Bill Clinton's endless search for acceptable African *****. They're praising Hillary's ability to raise millions while they have to beg such platry sums from one another. I get what you're saying, and I am more of a softie than I let on, but at some point you have to say "**** you, DUmmy. Go beg from the people you lionize. Hillary's worthless daughter just got over $50k for less than an hour of 'work,' and you assholes found a way to rationalize that. Go beg from HER."

I need a bass boat with a 50 horse outboard and a trolling motor. I had one, but some pasty white guys carrying rebel flags destroyed it because they said it reminded them of The One. Please, dear liberals, donate money so I can replace my Obie boat.
I only use organic bait. And I always practice catch and release. I haven't mastered the release part yet. That's why I'm still practicing.
