Oh my.
Retirement's made the big guy so bored he's desperate to post anything.

We were sitting at a red light and got flipped off
Marta and I were stopped for a red light on highway 370 in Bellevue. Some car behind us starts honking. I know there are cars stopped in front of me and we can't move. I looked at the rear view mirror and shrugged my shoulders and looked at the guy. He points directly at the area of our "Turn Off Fox, Bad news for America" bumper sticker. Then he throws 3-4 birds in a row. All I could do was laugh and he got even more upset. It made our day!
<<<wonders if the big guy follows that old ancient hoary archaic practice of "the man" at the steering-wheel while "the wife" docilely sits on the passenger side of the front seat.
<<<bets he does; bets he never lets poor dear Marta drive.
<<<was never fond of that practice; despite being a man, always cheerfully surrenders the steering-wheel to any licensed driver of any gender or role, when one's along with.
<<<has never considered the driver's seat a position of power.

21. I have become amazed at these stories that do not happen in the south.
I live in NC...during the Obama election I lived in Florida.
I have a DU bumper sticker on my car, as well an Obama sticker, not to mention my numerous anti-Bush stickers.
However, my car has never been vandalized, I've not been flipped off....I truly wonder if the real assholes live elsewhere than the south...
Anecdotes on DU that always take place in Minnesota (which I always thought was a nice accepting place), now Nebraska (again I thought a nice place)...wow, y'all need to move down here because this kind of crap has NEVER happened to me.
No one has vandalized my car or ripped my bumper sticker off.
I kinda feel sorry for you folks up there.

We don't have to flip you off. Your car is punishment enough.
But if you feel left out... :bird:

As usual, these assholes can't document anything. Put a fedora on their head and a guitar in their hands and it's like they're in Life magazine, but put them in a bouncy situation and they can't even scare up an artist's rendering. Not even a cave painting.
As they say on 4CHAN, TGFO.
Except don't take that literally, Steve, No one wants to see your man-udders.

This is semi piss poor moling here. Beats the Terminal Big Guy over the head with disbelief in multiple sentences, then tempers it with: "feeling sorry for you folks up there." It needs more sops to the dummies in between the beat downs to be truly effective. I am aware that it is the Terminal Big Guy, so the dummies probably aren't paying attention, still though... if you are gonna do some moling at least do it with some modicum of professionalism.
I give it a 3 on the Perky Scale of Moling.
As for the Terminal Big Guy... really piss poor bouncy dude. No cops, no conversion, no clapping, no bushes, basically no nothing. Didn't even start with "So". My dog could make a bouncy better than this.
I give it 0.05 bongs. Gave the Terminal Big Guy .05 just cause he don't get no dump love.

Steve, Steve, Steve. The brain-eating liver worms obviously hit the part of your brain that generates dreams and hallucinations, and munched on the one brain cell that would be necessary to come up with this piss-poor bouncy.
You haven't left your oversized Laz-E-Boy in months. There was no car, nor an angry millennial throwing you the Obama salute.
And speaking of piss-poor, it's time to change your Depends.

So the big guy gets all anecdotal, writing an original piece rather than copying-and-pasting it from somewhere else.
And he didn't do a bad job, either.
<<<was thinking, "wow, now he's finally at long last going to get engaged with his audience, backing-and-forthing, intercoursing, exchanging ideas and experiences, so as to make a long and interesting thread." You know, like my good pal Manny does.
But.....as usual, the big guy posted and ran.
In this case, he added a further comment downthread, but that's happened before, where he said something additional.
I don't believe however the big guy's ever had more than one single additional comment on his own thread.

58. Yep, the guy giving the finger. The responding police might not "Protect and Serve" the caller.
Calling the cops, although necessary for insurance purposes, can be a risk to even the caller- depending on the culture of the officers in a given location.
Best to include the police only as required, or for the most dire of circumstances.
Users' mileage may vary.
Or something like that.
Yep. Because all cops are racist right wing haters or something.

38. Fox "News" has been an embarassment for years to the company that brought us Shirley Temple....I'm picturing the board offering James a choice between early retirement or the Royal treatment.
You spelled embarrassment wrong.
nadinbrzezinski (138,752 posts)
40. The entertainment division and the news division are quite separate. James has actually done a lot more with entertainment, than his father. The news part was his father's idea, and not just in the US.
The fact that he could bend it so far RIGHT tells you more about the American public iMHO than anything else. Sky News is RW but it is still forced to do well... news. Why? The British Public made it clear in ratings where Sky News, also a Murdoch, would go to.
News of the World was the closest to FNC.... and once the scandal developed it had to go. IN the US we have had a few that should have gotten that big.
Of course this is from reading a few articles and books on this.
I suspect that James will unravel some of this, and fire a few people, and get more ahem, newsy. For the record, from recent news, we expect something similar at MSNBC, not that US Media in general can cover more than one major story at the same time, as yesterday proved. They used to as well.

I was at a red light and I hear a honk and there's a 80-something female RWHJ furiously flipping me off.

I got the hell out of there, and layed low for at least 2 weeks.

Some RWNJ yelled over at me from a aisle away to criticize whatever bumper sticker I was sporting at the time. It happened to me, but it was an 80-something woman that flipped me off because of my Obama sticker. It never occurred to me to do that to someone with a bumper sticker I didn't like. I just go around them so I don't have to look at it.

Nice bouncy for the Big Guy (who is dying).
I especially like it when other DUmmies are inspired to chime in with their own secondary bouncy tales.
It's sort of strange to hear obvious lies coming from a guy on his deathbed, but the DUmp isn't a normal place.

SO, I was driving down the street the other day, when I saw a Prius with an "OBAMA/BIDEN" sticker on it.
I pull up beside the driver, and yell at him out the window, "Hey, Buddy! Did you know your car has been vandalized?"
He says, "Really? How? Where?"
I say, "On the back! Somebody's put an 'OBAMA/BIDEN' sticker on your bumper!"
He flips me off, I just smile and drive away. :lmao:

Better to be flipped off than flipped over......and NASCAR fans know how to do both.
I saw an article that NASCAR is going to try to stop their fans from flying the rebel flag. I guess they're tired of having so many fans at their races.

I was driving north on Highway 370 the other day, and I saw a car sitting at the traffic light. The light changed two or three times, but the car didn't move.
I rolled up on the left side of the car to go around, and looked across at the driver. A fat man with a sweaty neckbeard was sitting in the driver's seat, staring off into space. His face was slack, and he had drool running out of the corner of his mouth. He bobbed his head a couple of times, grunted like he was passing a meat loaf, and began laughing maniacally.
I rolled down my passenger side window and yelled to him, "Hey, buddy, are you all right?" Without turning his head, he screamed "I STAND WITH THE SOCIALISTS!" three or four times, then began laughing again.
Worried that whatever was possessing the man might be contagious, I got the hell out of Dodge.
-
It's a small world, isn't it?
Remember, franksolich lives way north and west of the big guy, but as Nebraska's got so few people, it's inevitable that one runs into everybody else.
When down in Fremont the other day, I encountered someone who knows the big guy in real life, and he illuminated me that I was spot-on, in one of my speculations, that the big guy, a throw-back to the 1950s, has to drive, poor dear Marta being forced to sit on the passenger side of the front seat, purse on lap.
I just knew he was this way, and I suspect Atman is too.
-
A minor correction:
... a fat liberal driving a car held together by moveon bumper stickers.
I think those sticker-mobiles are hilarious, both the Lib/Prog model and the beyond-right-wing model. Also amusing to me is that the more conspiracy-inclined folks of both varieties are obsessed with some of the same conspiracy theories.

Poor OS. Here he thought the fact that he was gonna die would give him some dump love. Alas for poor Stevie, the callous dummies could not care less.
I have a suggestion OS. It is 100 percent Guaran-Damn-Teed to get you some dump love. Tell them your rich uncle died and you inherited around $100,000.00. That is enough to be believable. I promise you will get lots and lots of dump love for a while. Then you could keep it going by saying you intend to leave it to a couple of fellow dummies when you become worm food. That will probably keep the Dump love flowing for 6 months or so. By that time, you could come up with something else.
50 cents please.**
