Interesting perspective considering the billions that Clinton and Bush will be spending. I hope neither one make it out of the primary; that would be a wonderful day for America. Perhaps we at that point will have an election where we are not forced to vote for the lesser of two evils. Perhaps at that point, we can head towards restoration of this country rather than continue on this path of destruction that we are on.
GOP: Jeb can beat Hillary — but he might not make it past primary
Despite a spell of rough headlines and a recent campaign shake-up, 70 percent of early-state Republicans think Jeb Bush could win their state in a general election contest against Hillary Clinton. But they’re not confident he‘ll make it out of the primary.
That’s the assessment of this week’s POLITICO Caucus, our bipartisan survey of top operatives, activists and elected officials in Iowa and New Hampshire.
On the eve of Bush’s expected presidential announcement Monday, only 32 percent of Iowa Republicans said he could win there if the caucuses were held today. His numbers were much stronger in New Hampshire — 86 percent of both Republicans and Democrats said he would win the primary as of now — yet many caution that his frontrunner status there is precarious.
“He could win but so could several other candidates,†said one New Hampshire Republican who — like all 61 respondents this week — completed the questionnaire anonymously in order to speak candidly. “It’s going to be a horse race and Bush is no American Pharoah right now.â€
“Operative word is ‘could,’†added another Granite State Republican, speaking of the former Florida governor’s ability to win the New Hampshire primary. “He has all the advantages he brought to the race — he has performed very well in visits here and his staff is strong — but R voters are liking a race with no frontrunner. That will change but for now for R voters it is like Black Friday for shopping deals.â€
Iowa, with its socially conservative GOP base, has never been considered a natural fit for Bush and his brand of establishment conservatism. His travel schedule to the state reflects that: Bush has visited just twice in 2015, though he plans to return next week.
Some Hawkeye State Republicans doubt it will make a difference...

If Jeb can beat Hitlery, then all his betters will be able to find a way to beat her(metaphorically) too.

Hillary will be hard to beat; she will have billions. If the Repubs pick another Yankee or Rino, we will lose. Mitt was supposed to be a shoe in to defeat the Magic Negro.

I must be blind.
I see very little difference between Jeb & Hillary.
I see very little difference between a rino controlled senate, a rino controlled house, & a democratic lite/vs. democrat executive.

:cheersmate: I must be blind as well as I see very little difference between RINO's and DEMS; they are of the same old country club. There is however a slight differences between Jeb and Hillary; Jeb has slightly less baggage.

I see little difference in most politicians; they tell their base what they want to hear....after getting elected do what they want and leave office super rich. It is no wonder these lying and power hungry politicians want to get elected.

GOP:
Ford can beat Carter
Bush can beat Clinton
Dole can beat Clinton
McCain can beat Obama
Romney can beat Clinton
Jeb can beat Hillary
The RINO's just don't learn do they?

Hi5
I remember Jeb saying not to long ago..."we can win this without conservatives."
He supports common core indoctrination
He supports open borders and amnesty.
I dread his supreme court appointments.
I agree. The difference is far too slight to notice.

H-5 apiece!
Ma-a-a-a-ayyyyyyybeee Jeb could beat The Chill. He doesn't have the Benghazi, ME, and Reset Button baggage The Chill has. But (were they the candidates in the General) the MSM will be doing its very best to cover The Chill's very substantial @$$, and RINOs and Semi-RINOs are generally too busy separating themselves from Pro-Life people, theologically conservative Christians, and other conservatives to actually attack their real opponent. A word to the wise: if she gets the R nomination, Carly Fiorina will almost certainly do this, her current rhetoric notwithstanding! It's what she did in running against Babs Boxer in 2010.

I'm not sold on Fiorina. So what she's a female. So far, that's about all she's got going for her. She failed at beating Boxer. She failed at running McCain's campaign, she was voted as one of the worst CEO's and she doesn't have the political experience. She just made a statement that "feminism" is a Democrat term and wants to redefine it in a Republican way. What?? That in my humble opinion IS not what's is going to be needed to defeat Clinton. She needs to focus on some more important issues like; Benghazi, Fast 'n Furious, the Clinton Foundation, etc. or what she as a Republican stands for and how she will address illegal immigration, Obamacare, our failing economy, job creation, ISIS, Iraq, Iran, etc. Her focusing on some ridiculous notion that the left created the term feminism and all it's applications is just not going to cut it.

Assuming The Chill is the sure winner she looks to be (at the moment ... at this point in 2007 she looked a shoo-in for the D nomination in 2008), the R candidate needs to hit her demonstrated record as SecState and Clintonian financial shenanigans, AND lay out exactly what (s)he stands for, on the full spectrum of issues.
1.) Saying, "I am not Obama," was not a winning strategy in 2012, and it will be even less so in 2016.
2.) An R candidate who dodges stating their position(s) on social issues such as abortion and same-sex marriage will simply be tipping off the MSM on where to attack him/her and signalling that they don't have a good response.

Jeb could win, but I don't think he'll sniff the nomination. Iowa media are propping up Hillary & Bernie constantly. There was a stupid, idiotic story in the Des Moines Register this morning. Something about how those two clowns are getting more mentions on social media than all Republicans.
I'll try to find the link.
